The contents of my Norwegian care package that arrived before Xmas!

Bamse Mums are big marshmallow teddy bears covered in chocolate. They’re about twice the size in every dimension than jelly babies, and eating ten of them will make you feel sick, so don’t do that.

Laban Seigmenn are sugar-dusted fruit flavoured jelly men. To my untrained senses, they’re not unlike Haribo. Maybe a little fruitier.

Freia Melkesjokolade is the best known Norwegian milk chocolate. It’s creamy and delicious. It might be the power of suggestion, and they might taste no different in reality, but subjectively I’d say this resoundingly beats Cadbury’s Dairy Milk.

Läkerol Licorice Persimon was my first Nordic confectionery addiction. These little black tablets of persimmon flavoured liquorice are only a little sweet, but their unusual fruity/liquorice flavour is distinctive and habit-forming. Probably gone through about 20 of these boxes over the last couple of years.
