This New Yorker article about Berghain and the Lab.oratory by Nick Paumgarten just made me cry.  I only spent 3 weeks in Berlin last fall, but the Lab was transformative and going to Berghain reminded me of discovering Twilo, Tunnel and Exit back when I was 18 – but with Berghain as a platonic ideal, and myself finally being able to properly enjoy it.  It’s not precisely the right kind of music for it, but The Streets & Röyksopp provide the soundtrack for this post.  Actually, fuck nostalgia.  I’m going back before the year’s out, these times aren’t over.
