Do you think Rian Johnson is capable to create a really great movie which will be more art and something new than another hollywood blockbuster? I like TFA but tbh it was average and similar to MCU and another big movies. I love Rogue but it isn't something amazing too.

I have a lot of faith in Rian, but there is always the concern that Disney/Lucasfilm will interfere (as they did with Rogue One) and compromise what started out as a more singular and unique film. With that said, I’m optimistic that Episode VIII won’t go through the same kind of turbulence that Rogue One did. It really seems that Rian and Lucasfilm are working in sync when it comes to Episode VIII, and I like to think that they’re being very supportive of his vision for the film. And if Rian can fulfil his vision, I don’t doubt that Episode VIII will be great - Looper in particular is a masterpiece.

Rey develops a strong connection to Luke Skywalker. The new film from the start will explore the relationship between Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey, who shows up on his remote intergalactic island with his old lightsaber ‘both not knowing what’s going to happen and also having a lot of expectations in her head about how this is going to go,’…The director adds that the deepening of familial themes in Episode VIII is 'a huge part of especially Rey’s character, something that was a really powerful part of her setup and something I really wanted to dig into with this.’
