Notes: this is my first Barry imagine (or maybe drabble) so I really hope you
It was your second cup of coffee that morning and you still were asleep
as fuck. Last night was a rough one. It had been your first day at the Central
City Police Department and you had seen your first murder. Of course, you couldn’t
close your eyes during the night without seeing it over and over again in your
head. The result was being exhausted on your second day and considering to
inject the coffee straight into the vein.
You were supposed to be at the police station in half hour so you got up
from your seat at Jitters and went to the bar to order another one to take
away. While you waiting in line you looked around. That was the first time you
He was sitting at a table, in front of another guy with dark medium length
hair. He was thin but you could see he was fit as well, he had green bright
eyes and short brown hair. But that wasn’t what caught your attention. It was
his smile. The most genuine smile you had seen in a long time. Somehow it made
your heart race and smile. Just then, he looked around and spotted you so you
quickly looked away, biting your lip and feeling your cheeks getting red. You were
always so obvious with this kind of things.
After a few moments, you looked back to where he was just to see that he
was looking at you, but the moment your eyes met he looked at his friend. Yet,
you could see a smile forming on his lips. You chuckled a little but the
barista took you out of your thoughts.
“A coffee. Take away, please”, you smiled as you put the money on the
While you waited for your coffee you looked back the table where that
guy was. He was talking to his friend which gave you time to take in more of
him. He was wearing some jeans, a white t-shirt and a blazer, along with some
black Convers. It made him look so good. Of course, just then he looked back at
you so you looked back away, pretending to be focused on the muffins next to
“Here you go. Thank you”, the barista said.
You smiled at her and took your coffee. Then, you walked to the table
where you were before and took your things. You were going to be late already
and it was just your second day so you hurried out of the coffee house and ran
to your car. Your boss was going to kill you.
When you got to the Police Station, you walked to your desk, putting
your stuff on the top of it and letting you fall on the chair with a sigh. You weren’t
that late, but you could feel the eyes of your boss on your back so you just
started working. The next hour was stressful since you had to fill in so much
paperwork due to the murder of the day before.
“Eh…excuse me, are you (Y/N)? I’ve been told to give you this evidence
from the…” you looked up and dropped your pen the moment you saw the guy from
Jitters in front of your desk. He was tall. “Oh…hi”, he said smiling
immediately, making you smile as well.
“H-Hi…” you chuckled, feeling heat on your cheeks.
“What a small world”, he said putting the file he was holding under his
“And yet I never ran into Beyoncé”, you replied quoting Chandler Bing
from Friends. He laughed at your
response and you swore it was one of the most beautiful sounds you had ever heard.
“I do like Friends as always”,
“Then you can talk to me” you joked. “You are…?”
“Barry, Barry Allen. I’m the forensic scientist”, he said stretching out
“I’m (Y/F/N). Nice to meet you”, you replied shaking his hand. “So…you
have something for me?” You asked with a sigh looking at the file.
“Oh yeah! I’m really sorry for giving you more work since…you look
pretty busy but…these are the reports from the evidence of the murder we had
yesterday”, he said handing you the brown file.
“Great” you smiled taking it. “Thank you”, you thanked him with a smile.
“I…gotta get back to work” you said biting your lip.
“Me too” he nodded.
He put his hands into his pockets and walked away, so you forced yourself
to focus back on the work. But a minute later, someone distracted you again,
making you look up to see Barry standing in front of you.
“Sorry again” he smiled. “I was wondering if…” he looked around and
chuckled, looking nervous, as he ran a hand through his hair. “Would you like to…grab a coffee sometime? With
The proposal took you totally off guard but it still made you smile at
the same time you got nervous.
“Sure. I… would love to”, you smiled at him. “Maybe tomorrow? Breakfast
at Jitters? Maybe 9 a.m.? It takes me a while to get out of bed” You suggested.
He laughed a little and nodded.
“Looking forward to it”, he said walking away again.
This time, before leaving the office, he turned to look at you once
again, smiling as he saw you looking back at him.
My name is Barry Allen. And I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world I am an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day, I’ll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father.
The town I grew up in was surrounded by a river. No matter which road you took leaving town you had to cross it. The ancient, muddy Big Sioux River. Every spring and sometimes in the summer it would rage and flood until it felt like the town was under siege. No one could leave and no one could enter until it subsided.
Coming home from the bar one night, my grandfather missed the bridge. He was going almost one hundred miles an hour when he jumped the river crashing into the opposite bank. He was decapitated. His body impaled by the steering column. They never did find his head.
Strangely enough, some twenty years earlier while fishing in that same river, he reeled in the top part of a human skull. He took it to the Sheriff who sent it off to the lab in the city. They tested it and found that it was over 200 hundred years old and most likely Native American. The lab returned the skull to the Sheriff and he gave it back to my Grandfather.
Grandfather kept the skull in the basement. He’d take it out and show it to you if he had a couple beers in him. I held it in my hands after he died. I wondered if it was somehow his skull and time was a strange circle.
When I was ten I saw my first dead body. It was on the bank of that same river, off a different road. Some guy wrecked his motorcycle in the night. His body lay next to the river under a blue tarp the cops had thrown over him. My dad pulled his truck over on the other side of the bridge and we walked back across to where the cops were. We leaned over the rail of the bridge right over the tarp as one of the cops pulled it off. A heavy set dude lay there, almost like he was asleep. But he was so white it was startling. He was also wearing an Earl Campbell football jersey, the same kind Cristopher Cross wore in a video for his mega 1980 hit “Sailing.”
When I was in college, I woke up one morning after a long night of debauchery and someone had covered me up with a blue tarp. I’d passed out in the back yard. When I first opened my eyes I didn’t know what the hell was going on. The world was on fire in blue. I thought I was dead under a tarp like that guy I’d seen when I was a kid. I swear I could actually hear the words to that Christopher Cross song.
“Well, it’s not far down to paradise, at least it’s not for me And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility”
When I was 14 my best friend and I drove a couple of girls down to the river and parked maybe a hundred yards from where I’d seen the dead guy in the Earl Campbell jersey. My buddy and one girl took off with a 6-pack to build a fire in a clearing. I just kinda sat there as I hadn’t been alone with a girl since I was a little kid. I couldn’t think of anything to say so I told her about the body I’d seen when I was a kid. She wanted to see where. I chugged the rest of my beer and grabbed a couple fresh ones, pointing out the way.
She laughed and dashed off and I dizzily chased her. She was pretty, far too pretty for me. I caught up with her by the bridge and told her the body had been on the other side. She grabbed a beer from me and cracked it open, accidentally spraying herself. She squealed like the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. I took off my t-shirt. She wiped her face with it, then ran off under the bridge to the other side.
She stopped where there was a bunch of gardenia plants all abloom. “This is the spot,” I said. “His family must have planted them,” she said, half shocked and half sad. I instinctively reached out to comfort her and she grabbed my face with both hands and kissed me full on the mouth. I almost passed out from the excitement and the beer and the running and the perfume and the gardenias and the death.
Three years later she shot herself in the heart with a 12-gauge shotgun. She was pregnant. It wasn’t mine. I’d broken up with her more than a year before.
It didn’t make any goddamn sense. After I heard about it, I got in my car and drove. I wanted to get the fuck out of that stupid little town. Of course, it had been raining for three days and the river had flooded. So I pulled over and watched it. The water was raging in wild white cap torrents and I wondered if the bridge would hold.
My favorite thing about Madison Li joining the Institute is that everyone in the SRB is like “yeah, Dr. Zimmer is in charge but we haven’t heard from him in a while…” and Madison is just keeping her mouth completely shut about that one time James’s punk ass kid ran into her lab in Rivet City, shot Zimmer and his courser in the head, and was like “It’s ok, Harkness said I could!”
I woke up similar to Chell but was just some kid, and right away the puzzles were much deadlier and it was almost a mix of Fallout or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Radiation was always a worry and there was a lot less stable ground to stand on, and so much of the equipment (like buttons and stuff) was completely overtaken by a sort of acidic foam similar to when a battery explodes.
The weird foam didn’t hurt me, but I remember having to move through some areas extra fast if my geiger counter started to go off. I think I was the only one left alive and was just trying to figure out a way through this weird section of lab meets city.
Request: Remember that scene in the Incredibles where Elastic Girl and Mr. Incredible are fighting crime before their wedding? Can you do that whole scene please, especially the church scene where other heros are there?
Hey sorry anon asking for the Incredibles scene 😅 i thought i mention it but a Flash one with Barry please
It’s okay! Next time just specify it’ll make it so much easier for me! haha. Anyways, the scene isn’t word for word because I, honestly, don’t really remember the whole scene word for word.
I hope you enjoy!
REQUESTS ARE OPEN!
Barry was running through Central City, patrolling and making sure everything was alright. Must be a regular old Friday, except for the events that were about to go down later tonight. Barry could hardly contain his excitement.
“HELP! MY CAT!” A young girl yelled. He quickly made a turn and ran up to tree to retrieve the feline pet. He smiled at the thought of you, you adored cats. “Thank you Flash!” The girl beamed when he put the cat back into the girl’s secure arms.
He nodded in return when he saw a hooded man rush into a building and a woman yelling after him. Barry rushed to the building just in time to see the man go into the elevator and made his way to the roof top. Barry ran up the stairs straight to the top. He burst through the doors to see the man going through the purse.
“You know, you can tell a lot about a woman just by looking through her purse.” Barry spoke up, causing the man to look at him. “But I don’t think was your intention.”
“Look, Flash, I don’t want any trouble.” He had a thick New Yorker accent. Barry began to advance at the guy when he pulled out a gun.
Barry gave him a disapproving look. “I’m literally the fastest man alive, ya know? Like I’m faster than a speeding bullet. I don’t think a gun is a very effective weapon against me.”
The guy cocked the gun and but with the sharp sound of a whip, the gun was knocked right out of his hands. “Naughty… naughty…” You seductively purred as you walked closer.
“I had that one, Catwoman.” Barry whined, turning all his attention on you now as he took in the unforgettable sight of you in that skintight black leather get up. The man was about to advance on Barry and you kicked him square in the jaw, knocking him down. And gave him a sweet smile.
“Did you now, speedy?” You questioned, tilting your head to the side. “Sure you had it but I just took him out for you. A simple thank you will do suffice.”
“I protect the city, remember?” He smiled. You circled around him, smirking. “I mean, if a pretty dime like you lives in this city, it should be protected right?”
Cisco groaned through Barry’s earpiece. You did work with S.T.A.R. Labs to protect the city but today you had a different task. You smiled at Cisco’s uncomfortable groan. “Why can’t you talk to (Y/N) like this without the mask? Actually don’t because I don’t want to be surrounded by that.”
You giggled a little. “Sometimes men need to be taken care of.” You purred. “In more than one way.” You winked and you saw Barry turn pink while his mouth twitched into a playful grin.
“Look, the lady got me first, Flash.” The culprit stated but Barry hit him with a speedy punch, knocking him out.
“We could share, ya know?” You offered, putting your hands on your hips.
“I wouldn’t want to share.” Barry smirked. At times, Barry was possessive towards you as (Y/N) and when men try to flirt with you, he’d show off his jealous side. When you’d confront him about how you only have eyes for him, he’d always say that one line that made butterflies erupt in your stomach.
“Well someone’s gotta clean this mess up.” You stated, gesturing to the robber. “Shall I or will you?”
“Why? Are you doing anything later?” Barry asked, stepping closer to you and pulling you close. “Something you gotta doll yourself up for?”
“I have a prior engagement.” You whispered and gave him a small smile before running off the rooftop. Barry looked over to make sure you made it and sure enough you did as your meta human genes gave you feline features.
He let out a low whistle as he put his attention back on the bad guy.
Barry rushed into the chapel. “You’re late.” Cisco laughed a little. “God, Barry, I didn’t know you’d be late to your own wedding.”
“I know but how do I look?” Barry asked, already walking towards the closed doors.
“THE MASK.” Cisco whisper yelled and pulled it off only to laugh at Barry’s matted hair. “Your hair, dude.” With his super speed, Barry quickly fixed it with Cisco as the guide as there were no mirrors present.
With a sigh to ready himself, he opened the doors and Barry just took the amazing sight of you in your white, lace wedding dress. He quickly rushed to the alter where you gave him a playful glare.
As the minister was giving that speech, you whispered over to him. “You’re late.”
“I had some quick business to attend to.” Barry looked over to smile although you gave him a pointed look .
“I told you, I’m all in if you give me all too.” You said. Barry loves you. You know that. But with being a meta human and settling down was something you were scared to do. When the Particle Accelerator exploded and you discovered you had cat-like abilities, you were scared of what it meant for the rest of your life. Your genes were altered forever and you didn’t know what would happen next. That is until you met Barry.
When he proposed, you told him that you’d only say yes if you both made an effort to keep your married life as normal as possible for two meta humans. He agreed. “I love you, but you know that now we’re getting married we have to be more than the two masked heroes of Central City?” You asked him.
“I do.” Barry said sternly looking into your beautiful eyes that had beautiful cat eyeliner.
“You may kiss the bride.”
Barry pulled you in swiftly. You were sure your non meta human guests probably saw the lightning that came from his body but you didn’t care. All you knew was that you married the man you always wanted to be. Mask or no mask. You knew that Barry would put in his best effort for your marriage and you knew that you would do the same.
