Today saw the global release of the adidas consortium EQT Guidance ‘93 by Perth store Highs and Lows.
Not many shoes grab my attention because loads are being released every single week. However this one did and it has mainly to do with the colorscheme used. You could place these HALs back in time in the original release line and it would’ve blended perfectly. It shows the Highs and Lows crew know their history and without reusing an old colorway they came up with this contempary look which just ticked all my boxes.
Luckily enough i was able to grab a pair through @packershoes due the time-difference in releases because all the European stores were already sold out.
@ginono0180 threw “Asics hype” in and after some elaboration he meant “any Asics shoe”.
I decided to dive into Asics’ backcatalogue and found this gem amongst others, the Gel 121.
This shoe is from 1992/1993 and featured a dual density compression molded EVA with gel pad rearfoot which in layman’s terms gives you a pretty damn comfortable ride. Other than that i do not know much about this shoe.

This boarddesign i drew means a lot to me because around the time the “36 chambers” album came out skating for me was a daily routine. Watching Zoo York’s mixtape and all, a really pivotal time for the Eastcoast to emerge with skatevideos with a hiphop score and not only the punk/hardcore that came from the Westcoast.
This board represents the love for 90s hiphop and skateboarding in one.
