Okay, so the Hardyz got busted up by Sheamus and Cesaro last night, we just lost Chris Jericho to Smackdown, and Braun and Roman killed each other last night at Payback. Could things get any worse?
It’s a long-standing phrase that “the cream always rises to the top”, and it’s proven that much more with how many former TNA wrestlers have worked for many years to make it to the spotlight of the WWE. At the top of that list are Raw’s Samoa Joe and SmackDown Live’s AJ Styles. Both have achieved success in the WWE, with Samoa Joe being a former 2-time NXT Champion and AJ Styles being a former WWE Champion. Both men have remained at the top of the card on their respective shows, but one third of the dominant forces of TNA’s first decade is missing from the fold: Christopher Daniels. With the arrivals of Bobby Roode, Eric Young, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Bully Ray, and Austin Aries all within the last two years, it seems crazy to write Daniels off as not having some potential in at least having a run in NXT.
