This is a really hard one bc I’ve been avoiding depressing music for like a year now, so I have a hard time remembering a song that would genuinely touch me in such a way, but when searching for a song to link as an answer to the next question, I came across Voltaire’s Born Bad.
This song has always struck me as extremely painful and heartbreaking due to the slow, heavy melody and a genuinely remorseful way of singing.
28: A song by an artist with a voice that you love
I’m gonna go with a male and female singer with very distinct voices that I love bc I can’t decide on just one lmao;
I was two years in Vietnam. Do you know what I thought about, what I dreamed about? Coming home, having a family, having grandkids. I dreamed you, Amber. And Haddie, and Drew, and Sydney and Max. We almost lost ya Amber. You’ve had some bad breaks. You’re not feeling good about yourself. You didn’t get into Berkeley? Well boo-friggin-who. You got to suck it up girl, you’re a Braverman. You got my blood in your veins. If you ever do something like this again, if you even think of doing something like this again, I will kick your little butt all the way from here to the Golden Gate Bridge. You do not have my permission to mess with my dreams. Are we clear?
i hate it when i see those audio posts of mashups and cover songs with at least 100k notes, and everyone has commented stuff like “SHIT NUGGET THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD THIS IS THE BEST THING I’VE HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE MY EARS ARE TWERKING ON ANGEL CLOUDS I WANNA HAVE BABIES WITH THIS SONG OMG BLESS JESUS” and when i click play to listen to this masterpiece; it’s just complete s h i t???
