Life on the open waters was rough. Literally and emotionally.
Being an explorer of the new world required many months at sea, and currently
you were sailing along the Western coast of Africa; prime pirate territory. You
had warned the captain of your ship that these waters were too treacherous,
that cargo ships taking the shortcut back to England were excellent targets for
those vile creatures called pirates. But he had waved you off, muttering
something about how you were lucky to be on board because you’re a “disrespectful
woman who had no business being on his ship”.
So you had bunkered down, a permanent scowl on your face as the
other shipmates gave you hungry looks. At least if you survived taking this
shorter route you would be home sooner, meaning no more sleeping while
clutching a knife under you pillow. You had no other choice but to accept your
companions, since no other ships would accept a female adventurer. You wished that
the Kraken would come up and swallow them all whole.
Can we all take a moment to think about this moment of complicity between Theon and Tyrion at the meeting like they actually joked together about some old grudges between them and all that to make fun of Euron right in front of him I mean this is so GOOD Theon actually SMIRKED and made a JOKE guys am I the only one can’t who get over it ?
(Also like when Theon and Tyrion became buddies why no one thought of showing this in a nice well-written scene between the two having a kind of private conversation seriously that would have been so good. Thanks to all the fanfics writers for giving us what the show doesn’t xoxo)
While Floki has found his way to accept you, now only struggling to show it, Ivar has his own views on the shift in attention.
The clap of a hand on your backside startled you into nearly dropping the bowl of prepped food. You looked down at Ivar smirking savagely. Knowing he was a prince had you too cautious to snap at him. Surprisingly you didn’t have to.
“Ivar,” Floki chided. “I know you’re mother taught you to be more respectful of guests.”
You nor Floki acknowledged his save. There was a heavy denial that hung around him when it came to you, like the idea Helga made a good choice in taking Tanaruz was embarrassing. So instead you let him pretend he never did anything nice for you, though he did all the time.
Ivar scoffed. “You said she was like a slave.”
Floki twitched when he was uncomfortable, like he could somehow crawl his soul out of the situation. “… it’s not like that anymore.” he mumbled.

Imagine the kraken trying to get to you and protect you.
You grunted as you shook the bars that encased you in your prison. Iron, more solid and covered in grime than the dirtiest seas. You ventured they’d been forged at least twenty something years ago. It was no match against your weak arms.
You were so weak outside of the water - above the water. But of course they knew that. It was why they had hauled you out of the fishing net, twisted and tight, and then took one look at the tail that was replacing your lower half, and watched as it faded into human legs. The leering looks were ones you could have done without.
But the confinement, being unable to stretch your legs, or smell the freshness of the salt seas (instead smelling the stench of unbathed men that climbed between above deck to below the level you were staying in) made it unbearable.
And the ship rocked, causing you to hear men rushing to the deck.
Something was happening, something large and enough to rattle them. Something to make the seas rise and the canon-fire be useless.
Something no living man would escape on the seas.
The victory you felt tasted sweet and rich on your tongue as you stepped from the bars, sitting on the bench. Biding your time. These fools of men did not realize how much danger they had found themselves in in taking you captive. They did not even realize that their deaths would have been prevented if they had released you immediately.
But you knew that Will would not have given up looking for you, even if the Seven Seas ran dry and fire replaced the water.
It made you grin at a passing pirate as the ship gave a violent jerk.
It had come.
You heard men give hollers, canon-fire. And then the sound of men’s screams, so sweet to your ears that you wondered if she would give them a quick death. Or if she would let them suffer as you had in your days on dry surfaces.
The sound of wood cracking, the ship being torn apart board by board could be heard around you. And then you could see the tentacle of the Kraken curling around the bars that made up your window. As it yanked with the force of a thousand men, the entire side of the ship seemed to give way, exposing an exit for you.
Rising from your seat on the bench, you could see not just the bodies of men lost at sea in the water, but her. The one you swam with and loved more than most creatures of the sea. And just a few hundred meters in the distance, you could see her master. The Flying Dutchman’s tattered sails and the barnacled ship were the source of your rescue.
The reason the Kraken had been ordered to come and tear this ship apart until you were found.
A tentacle swept your feet out from under you, hauling you out into the morning sky as if you were one of the savage pirates. But as you dangled in mid-air, your heart in your throat and your eyes staring at the ship, as people were jumping aboard to be free of their deaths, or men were pulled into the air much like you were, their life squeezed from them or their bodies flung into the water.
“Let’s go home, girl,” you spoke softly, and the tentacle around your foot loosened, sending you plunging to the depths of the sea, where your tail was restored, and your lungs expanded with the salt water that tasted of the earliest memories you had.
Beneath the surface of the water, your sisters were gathered, mermaids from many different seas, just like you, luring men into the depths for themselves. For the captain of the Flying Dutchman to take on as crew members. For themselves, and their starving bellies.
And for yourself, for revenge of taking the one the captain of the Flying Dutchman had claimed as his own.
You turned towards the only ship you set foot on willingly, the only place you lost your tail and donned legs to stand besides its captain. The one place Will Turner could be for a decade on end.
A/N: I hope you don’t mind, I wrote this without the smut but it does have a bit of romance and implied smut.
Summary: You’re a woman of adventures, when you heard a local pub is hiring pirates you can’t help but want to sign up and suddenly fall for a famous pirate captain.

You stood on the wooden bridge of the port and watched as your ship was sinking in the distance. You had your arms folded firmly and you glanced around for the ships that gunned down your beautiful ship.
When your ship was no longer in sight, you turned away and let out an angry breath. “Why does this happen every time I go to a new port, some bloody pirates finds my ship and THINK it’s right to sink it!”
The harbor master stared at you oddly and nodded uncomfortably. “So, you aren’t gonna leave, ma’am?”
“Does it look like I have a ship?” You asked enraged and pinched the bridge of your nose. You then scratched your head and idly looked out in the horizon. Your face paled when you recognize the black sails of a ship and stared in disbelief. “I hope that’s what I think it is.”
Plot: Kraken-Eye - Part 2: Tides Come in Low (Open RP; First-Come-First-Serve)
Agent 7 continues spending what time he has left as an agent. His ink-license is going to expire once he’s done helping Marie with things in Octo Canyon. He has already reported to Marie about Inklings who have their minds “remixed”, and Marie accepted it, but didn’t accept that Callie was among those inklings.
If it ever came to that, Marie has something that may help, but has never been tested. It was something she and Sheldon developed not too long ago.
Agent 7 and Marie can bee seen at the shack in Tentakeel Outpost, the two were just finishing a conversation.
“I’ll never understand Lee, Blueshift, and the others…”
“I’m not only counting on you to help me, Agent 7. You know that.”
So I’ve slowly developed a line of Guardian Zora’s that are very low in numbers, they’re massive Zoran deities, protesters of the waters below and like I??? Love them both??? There may be more but there aren’t that many…..but for now!! This is Vellanora, the Kraken! More or come about her later!
Tell your friends, spread the word, and come have some fun with us !
