I plan on being an engineer at NASA, but I can’t do that without taking them classes at that all-white high school, and I can’t change the color of my skin. So I have no choice, but to be the first, which I can’t do without you, sir. Your Honor, out of all the cases you gonna hear today, which one is gonna matter 100 years from now? Which one is gonna make you the first?
i just love how sana sensed even’s insecurity and immediately tried to comfort him. before that, you could feel this…tension in the air. on both sides, actually. but as soon as sana registered that little bit of worry in even’s tone, in his expression, she comforted him. we didn’t talk about him.
and you could see how much that meant to even. because it was a simple sentence, but it held so much in it. it was sana letting even know it was okay. that she had no intention of telling isak anything that made even uncomfortable. that whatever happened in his past, whatever she knows, is safe with sana. that he doesn’t need to worry.
and it’s so beautiful?? because this is the first conversation we’ve seen where it’s just been the two of them, and already it’s just….so comforting, so soothing, so full of these quiet understandings and fondness and i just…i can’t wait to see more, honestly
