We got our club calendars recently, I was looking through the important dates next year and our Interclub tournament is going to be held in June.
So I’ve got a date to work towards now, June 2012, more than likely we’ll have points, continuous and maybe some kickboxing. I’m not sure, I’ll find out more when we come back from holidays.
So, 6 months basically to train for 3 different styles! It sounds like a long time for preparation, it really isn’t! 6 months comes around so quickly!
It’s a month or so after camp and I’m taking 6 weeks off to go overseas!
Hopefully, fingers crossed I’ll be ALLOWED to compete in the interclub tournament, usually if you take time off before a tournament say a week or 2 you aren’t usually allowed to compete because you haven’t done enough prep for it.
Being kickboxers, technically Koshiki and Continuous we should absolutely smash it, we usually do!
But I want to do really well at points - not to win for the sake of it or at all that would be a bonus, but to see how much control I have with speed, accuracy and technique even once the adrenaline wears off.
Bring on June! I’ll ask my kickboxing instructor if it would be at all possible to do the interclub tournament if I take 6 weeks off with the promise of training whilst I’m away!
Thank you very much for your usual support. On this occasion I have the privilege of announcing the details of the 35th Single.
