Here is a simple dessert that looks glamorous. I adapted it from the Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry Box as I wanted a non-dairy dessert.
1 sheet of Puff Pastry, defrosted
1 cup milk, almond milk or soy milk
1 package instant vanilla pudding
1 lb. strawberries, washed and sliced
1 cup cream, whipped or 2 cups whipped topping (I ussed Rich Whip Pareve Whipped Topping)
¼ cup chocolate chips
Cut defrosted puff pastry sheet along fold lines and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
Mix pudding mix with milk (I used almond milk) then fold in whipped topping/whipped cream.
Slice each puff pastry sheet in half to give you a total of six pieces. Place one piece on a tray and fill with pudding mix. Top with sliced strawberries and a bit more pudding mix. Add a layer of puff pastry and repeat layering. Do the same for the remaining three pieces to make 2 “loaves”.
Melt chocolate chips in a zip bag in the microwave. When melted snip the corner and pipe on top of the Napoleons.
