I’ve built guitars before, but I’m pleased to say that this is my first commission - A cousin of mine, as a reward for a personal triumph, ordered this semi-hollow Strat clone from me back in May, and took delivery of it yesterday. He picked out the body and, with the exception of asking for gold hardware, more-or-less let me call the shots. This one has a black korina body with blackburst edges, a flamed mahogany neck with a rosewood board, and a trio of Seymour Duncan strat-sized humbuckers to make the noise. A Gotoh-Wilkinson tremolo, Schaller locking machines and a Graph Tech Tusq nut keep it in tune when the fun starts. This was build #5 for me; there’s a 6th one, a 7 string, in the pipeline.
