Nice men are ugly.
Handsome men are not nice.
Handsome and nice men are married.
Handsome, nice and unmarried men are useless.
Handsome, nice, unmarried and rich men are not interested in us.
Handsome, nice, unmarried, rich men who are interested in us are players.
Handsome, nice, unmarried, rich men who are interested in us and faithful are homosexuals.
Handsome, nice, unmarried, rich men who are interested in us, faithful, straight and who would not lose interest in us even if we made the first move… those men must have problems!

“The body asks the heart, if I am in pain the doctor will cure me, but if you are in pain, who is going to cure you? The heart replies, only I can cure myself. Maybe that’s why, every person has their own way of healing the pain in their hearts. Drinking, singing, throwing a tantrum, crying, laughing, talking to a friend, traveling, running a marathon. The worst thing to do is to ignore the pain in the heart.”

Day 03: Your Favorite Female Lead Character

My choice seems pretty obvious….

Kim Sam Soon wins best female lead for me.

She really didn’t have anything - a boyfriend/husband, a skinny body, a gentle personality, money, etc, but I loved that she was still very independent and sassy. She had a strong personality and at the same time, pretty selfless when it came to family. I love that she, like Dokko Jin, remained consistent from beginning to end. Just because she met a guy, she didn’t change. She was still the snarky, bad-mouthed patissier, who spoke what was on her mind.

Another thing that made me choose Sam Soon was that there were so many things that people could relate to. She had the desire to be prettier, the desire to be skinnier, the desire to be married, but in the end, she never changed her appearance, she never lost weight, and she never married at the end of the series. And the big eyeopener would be that it really didn’t matter that she never achieved any of these goals, because she was still happy with herself at the end of it, and she found someone who was happy to be with her, just the way she was.

Another reason why I chose Sam Soon was because Kim Sunah is one of my favorite actresses ever, on- and off-screen. She has such a wonderful personality and versatility  to pull any role off (Take KIM SAM SOON vs LEE YEON JAE in Scent of a Woman).
