Korean Particles

Particles can indicate the role of the noun e.g. if it is the subject or an object of the sentence, or they can add meaning to nouns e.g. time or place.

Some particles have two forms because one is added to a noun that ends with a consonant (nc) while the other is added to a noun that ends in a vowel (nv).

nc/nv

이/가 - Subject particle

This particle lets you know which noun is the subject of the sentence.

을/를 - Object particle

This particle lets you know which noun is the object of the sentence.

은/는 - Topic/Contrast particle

This particle has a similar meaning to 이/가 but it is used when you want to add more emphasis to a noun. For example 제 이름은 알엑스입니다 - My name is Alex while 이름 - name could be the subject of the sentence in Korean it would be considered the topic as it is being stressed more strongly.

도 - “Too,” “Also,” “As well”

This particle is the opposite of 은/는 the contrast particle, so is used in agreement.

에 - “At,” “To,” “In” (time, direction, location)

This particle is used to mean any of the three English prepositions listed above.

에서 - “At,” “In,” “On” (location), “From” (starting point)

This particle is used to describe the location and mark the starting point of something.

으로/로 - “To,” “Into,” “With,” “By” (direction, change, means)

This particle tells you the direction, any changes you need to make e.g. changing trains, and the means you use to get to your  destination e.g. walking or riding a bike.

I decided to make another collection of inspirational quotes, but this time from the scientists! As before, I hope you enjoy these inspirational quotes I collected and add them to your quotes collection!

Albert Einstein

  • “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”
  • “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”
  • “A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.”
  • “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
  • “It is only to the individual that a soul is given.”

Marie Curie

  • “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”
  • “I was taught that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy.”
  • “One never notices what has been done; one can only see what remains to be done.”
  • “Be less curious about people and more curious about ideas.”
  • “Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.”

Neil deGrasse Tyson

  • “I think the greatest of people that have ever been in society, they were never versions of someone else. They were themselves.”
  • “Passion is what gets you through the hardest times that might otherwise make strong men weak, or make you give up.”
  • “We are part of this universe; we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us.”

Isaac Newton

  • “We build too many walls and not enough bridges.”

Steven Hawking

  • “However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.”
  • “Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.”

Galileo Galilei

  • “We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.”
  • “All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”

George Washington Carver

  • “No individual has any right to come into the world and go out of it without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it.”
  • “There is no short cut to achievement. Life requires thorough preparation - veneer isn’t worth anything.”
  • “When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.”
  • “Where there is no vision, there is no hope.”
  • “How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.”

Carl Sagan

  • “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
  • “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.”
  • “When you make the finding yourself, even if you’re the last person on Earth to see the light, you’ll never forget it.”
A man of knowledge knows that his life will be over altogether too soon. He knows that he, as well as everybody else, is not going anywhere; he knows that nothing is more important than anything else. … Under these circumstances his only tie to his fellow men is his controlled folly. Thus a man of knowledge endeavors and sweats and puffs and, if one looks at him, he is just like any ordinary man, except that the folly of his life is under control. Nothing being more important than anything else, a man of knowledge chooses any act and acts it out as if it matters to him. His controlled folly makes him say that what he does matters and makes him act as if it did, and yet he knows that it doesn’t. So when he fulfills his acts, he retreats in peace and whether his acts were good or bad, or worked or didn’t, it is in no way part of his concern.

Ultimate list of Sakura's achievements ?

  • Sakura is the one with the best  Accademy knoweldge. Her intelligence and her wide knoweldge makes her a great shinobi. (part one)
  • Sakura is one of the most capable when it comes to chakra control, urpassing even an uchiha and the jinchuriki of the strongest bijuu.
  • And this is highlighted in part two with her fight with sasori. How is it that the most sexist character in Naruto was deeply affected by her and yet this shitty fandom still rfuse to see it?
  • As seen also at the start of the second part
  • Sakura  is also  well-suited for genjutsu. While never actually seen using genjutsu, she is frequently able to quickly identify when genjutsu is being used and then release herself and others from it.

Part one

Part two

  • Sakura is able to concentrate her whole chakra in one point causing her “inhuman strength”. She can break bones, rupture organs, or even kill with a single strike. Furthermore, she can send chakra throughout her entire body and improve her ability to withstand crushing blows.
  • Sakura is the only one beside a senju that was able to complete and own the the Hyakugou 白豪の印 seal. .Something that even a veteran like shizune couldn’t do after years of experience and training
  • Sakura Haruno  can also transfer this chakra to other
  • Sakura is the only one able beside Tsuande to summon  katsuyu-sama , the queen of slugs
  • Sakura haruno by summoning katsuyu sama can make her split appart and attach itself to others, Sakura could also monitor many allies at once, healing them and replenishing their chakra as needed.
  •   Sakura can make incisions in her patients with the Chakra Scalpels to try and directly treat her patients’ vital organs
  • Sakura can make fast-acting sleeping gas,and was taught by Shizune on how to concoct poisons that, when coated on weapons, could debilitate or paralyse a person with a single scratch
  • By the time of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, she had also learned the 癒力変生の術, Yuryoku Hensei no Jutsu

Sakura haruno started as a bullied child with no selfconfidence, powers or status.

Thanks to her determination, selfless love and dedication she was able to change herself. Both as a women and shinobi, until the point when she was able to surpass the greatest kunoichi , called princess tsuande.

And no need to say her sensei was the proudest one about her beloved student.

One more thing about Yondu Udonta in GotG2

What is his first scene in this movie? Well, he looks grimly out the window after seemingly having sex with a sexbot.

When I saw it my first thought was that he regrets some of his life choices. Then the focus is on Ravagers and one of them is happily walking around with his girlfriend. Then the focus is again on Yondu, who still looks somehow somber.

This gave me an idea that in that moment Yondu might regret that he didn’t find love and didn’t have a family of his own. No family = no warmth… but also no legacy in form of genes and knoweldge passed in next generation. It might have been that in that scene Yondu was feeling old and mortal.

Maybe the fact that he didn’t have a partner and child, is largely due to his past - since his own parents sold him, he had no idea how to truly love a spouse and a child. In fact, maybe because he had no idea about love (other than camraderie), the love he felt for Peter took him by surprise. And since he had no parenting model (at least one that we know of), he might have been scared of the fact that he had to raise a child himself.

Now let’s look at the speech he gives to Rocket. Before it ends on how they’re both hiding their feelings because people who made them didn’t care for them, he talks about men who act tough and push those closest them away, because of the void they feel inside. And we just know that he talks about himself there and that this attitude concerns Peter the most: Yondu keeps saying horrible things to him and only later reveals the true reason behind adopting the boy, because he doesn’t know how to handle emotions. He himself has barely any concept of parental love.

Also remember that he has to hide this parental love from his crewmembers. But in the end Kraglin finally snaps at him that he treats Quill differently; that Quill can betray them all he want and Yondu will never kill him or punish in any severe way. “Being soft” on Peter is what causes Yondu to ultimately lose his crew, because the Ravagers that didn’t turn on him, are killed. Yondu’s rough demeanor comes from fear and, unfortunely, this fear has reasonable basis.

And I also think that in this movie he thinks about how he will be remembered. At the beginning Stakar says that since Yondu broke the code, he will never be buried as a Ravager; and when he goes to save Quill and Rocket tries to stop him, Yondu says: “You gonna give me this. I never did anything good in my life.” So part of the reasons why he sacrifces himself is so he can save the only good thing he did: his adoptive son.

(This is more than one thing, but oh well…XD).

Studying for my American Literature exam next week, and these movements are a little bit boring to go over again. But I think my notes are pretty cute! I hope it goes well ( ◠ ‿  ◠ )

Whereas awareness is the eternal potential
Consciousness is the eternal actual.
Consciousness is the surface;
Awareness is the limitless ocean.
Consciousness is the guide for the journey
Through the known and into
The unknown.
In truth, they are not two, but
Aspects of a unified whole.
