A KITSUNE is a shapeshifter, and usually when it reaches the age of 100 years, it learns the ability to take on a human form. It is also said that a kitsune can duplicate other human beings, in other words shapeshift into the look-a-likes of different people. Kitsune are believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. They are a type of spiritual entity, and the word kitsune is often translated as fox spirit. However, this does not mean that kitsune are ghosts, nor that they are fundamentally different from regular foxes. Because the word spirit is used to reflect a state of knowledge or enlightenment, all long-lived foxes gain supernatural abilities.
You can always find her with boxing gloves slung over one shoulder and a dangerous smile, all teeth. The local gym couldn’t run without her volunteering with the Foxes, training little kids into careful weapons. She’d prefer swords to gloves, but no one will let her katanas into a match. She still practices, though; she cuts unforgiving slices into dummies in the gym basement so she won’t accidentally hurt anyone. Fighting is a skill, one she’s worked hard for, but it’s not a party trick. She does it not because she can, but because she should, because the world is a shitty place and people need protection and she is a one-woman army. Honour and pride ride her broad shoulders through school hallways. She knows her strength, she knows her worth - and everyone knows she can kick your ass.
“centuries ago, intricately weaved tales of otherworldly, fox-like creatures permeated the lands of East Asia. all recollections of encounters with the being resulted in the same illustration: a fox not unlike those of the average nature in appearance, turned transcendental by the multiple tails in which it grew and it’s inhuman powers and abilities.”

↳ kira took their son, ken (kenny), to a playdate with stiles and lydia’s daughter, claudia, who was the same age as kenny. scott made sure to facetime kira after dropping mel off at her friend’s birthday party. and scott, being the one that taught kenny how to say ‘ice cream’, is overjoyed to find out that he was able to say that. of course, kira was in denial. kenny, being about two years old, mistakes a little girl by the ice cream truck as his older sister. he also doesn’t know how to say ‘Papa’, resulting to saying ‘pop’ instead, disappointing Papa Scott greatly.
