kite hill cheese

I have a running theory that the vegan cream cheese in my local grocery store has undergone a strange metamorphosis because the Daiya and Tofuttii cream cheeses I tried both had the EXACT SAME god awful chemical taste and smell to them (that might also remind one of smelly socks) and so now I have a fear of buying vegan cream cheese because I don't want to waste my money on whatever the heck was in those two containers. um... please help?? I really miss good cream cheese

I was thinking of you today, anon, when I was at the grocery store. So I picked this up to taste test it for you! I’ve heard good things, and there is a plain version, but it was sold out. So I’ll let you know how it goes!

Inspired by @cooksforkisses whose blog always makes me remember how good Kite Hill cream cheese is and that I should put it on everything, even waffles…😘

I didn’t get to celebrate Valentine’s yesterday so I’m proclaiming it Valentine’s Week, starting with this breakfast! Strawberry shortcake smoothie and toast with kite hill cream cheese and strawberry jam. For the smoothie, blend 1 frozen banana, 5 big strawbs, ¼ cup oats, 1 T almond butter, a lil vanilla, and 1 cup soymilk

i'm vegetarian and i'm trying so hard to go vegan but it's honestly a bigger struggle for me than quitting meat! PLS HELP!

you’re not alone! i think that’s actually the case for a lot of people! i loooved cheese and remember not thinking i’d be able to last without it. but, as hard as it might be initially, if you stop eating it all together, the cravings go away much quicker!! as long as you have it in your body, you’ll keep wanting it.
documentaries, small youtube videos, pictures and even just reading (let me know if you need recommendations) can provide a ton of motivation. remind yourself of *why*. when you really think about what these animals go through, it no longer seems appetizing or worth contributing to.
also, unlike years ago, there are soooo many amazing vegan options that can fill those cravings! kite hill chive cream cheese is one of my favorites, but there are SO many.
most of all, it really does get easier every day. if you need any help figuring out what to eat, wear, how to transition, or with anything at all, please let me know!
looking up recipes of fun new foods to make and try, visiting a farm sanctuary if possible, etc. can be super encouraging. focus on the animals, and all the things that make this decision bigger than yourself. you’re doing this for them, and i believe in you fully. you’re going to look back and be so proud that you did it.

That organic grocery store is a vegan dream. I got kite hill cream cheese, chao cheese, bagels, almond milk, acai packets, a frozen falafel wrap and organic strawberries for the grand total of $15
