Tomorrow, King Felipe and Queen Letizia will arrive in Oviedo to attend several engagements on the occasion of the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2017. Princess Leonor will not accompany her parents to any of the engagements, including the Award Ceremony taking place on Friday. Tomorrow evening, the King and the Queen will preside over the XXVI Princesa de Asturias Awards Concert at the Príncipe Felipe Concert Hall in Oviedo.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain were accompained by Queen Sofía of Spain to the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony, at Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Spain. The King of Spain delivered the Scientific and Technical Research Award to Rainer Weiss, Kip S. Thorne, Barry C. Barish and the Scientific Collaboration LIGO, the Literature Award to Adam Zagajewski, the International Cooperation Award to the Hispanic Society of America, the Communication and Humanities Award to Les Luthiers, the Social Sciences Award to Karen Armstrong, the Sports Award to the All Blacks, the Arts Award to William Kentridge and the Concord Award to the European Union, on the behalf of his 11-year-old daughter Leonor de Borbón, the Princess of Asturias.
