Hope on a Cloudy Day - a rainbow against a backdrop of cloud like white Bluefaced Leicester Wool. The rainbow sections are approximately 10 inches long. With some experimentations with gauge, needle size and stitch pattern, you get different effects. The socks in progress in the last picture (knit with this same colour way but on my Sparkle yarn base) took some swatching with different needle sizes to make the “rotating rainbow” effect. Alternatively you could embrace the pooling and choose a pattern that uses pooling to your advantage - lots of possibilities. I love rainbows!
Stanley Park, a colour way inspired by the beautiful 1000 acre park adjacent to downtown Vancouver. Shown here on Kinfolk Steadfast Merino Sock, a 75/25 blend of super wash Merino wool and nylon. Available here.
This blend of 50% Tibetan Yak and 50% Cultivated Silk is simply divine! It’s naturally silvery bronze and when over dyed the underlying colours give it a depth and sheen. It’s extremely warm and oh so soft!
