My rule with designing tieflings is that if the horns are naturally occuring on sheep or goats in real life then they get a pass for accuracy but here’s the thing;

Goats and sheep honest to god can get the most fucked up horns ever.

Accidental Text

Based on my dumb self because I did something similar oops. I hope you enjoy :)

Sent. Nico took a deep breath, feeling a sense of guilt, and clicked his phone off after confessing to his sister that he had a “crush”. He had put the word in quotes because it sounded far too close to what a seven-year-old child of Aphrodite would say- not the Ghost King himself.

He quickly realized, after checking his phone about a million times, that he wouldn’t be able to think of anything else until Hazel replied. So, he settled on taking a nap. He pulled a fuzzy Nightmare Before Christmas blanket and dozed off on the couch in the Hades cabin.

He woke up an hour later to his phone buzzing in his lap. He came to immediately and tore the covers off. But, instead of a text from Hazel, he had one from “Sunshine Boy”- Will Solace. Ooooh, who is it??

In a panic, Nico fumbled to unlock his phone. It was still open to messages. He discovered with horror that he had sent his confession to Will Solace.

THAT WAS NOT MEANT FOR YOU, he replied hastily.

Immediately, the ellipses popped up. Nico’s palms began to sweat as he read the reply: But now you HAVE to tell me.

Nico hastily responded, Uh, no I don’t.

Will: Well, I mean, not technically. But I will annoy you about it until you confess.

Nico rolled his eyes. Whatever.

Nico went to the small kitchen in the back of his cabin and made himself a cup of coffee. When he returned, he already had fifty messages, with more being sent each moment, spelling out “who do you like” letter by letter. Nico groaned.

Will: If you tell me, I’ll stop.

Will: w

Will: h

Will: o

Nico: FINE

Nico: But you can’t ever talk to me again

Will: We’ll see about that ;)

Nico huffed. He could picture Will’s cocky grin perfectly. Before his brain could tell him what a terrible idea it was, Nico typed You. He didn’t look as he pressed send.

A moment later as he realized what he had done, he buried his phone under the blankets on his bed and dashed across the room. He didn’t want to read Will’s reply, which would no doubt be repulsed. He felt his eyes start to burn as there was a knock on the door.

“What?” Nico called.

“It’s Will,” Will said gently as he opened the door.

“I didn’t say you could come in,” Nico mumbled. His voice cracked with emotion.

Will’s eyes followed the voice and landed on the son of Hades curled up in a ball in the farthest corner of the room.

“What’s wrong, Neeks?” he said, rushing over to the boy’s side.

“You must be disgusted,” he whispered after a moment.

“What? Why?” Will reached for Nico’s hands, but he snatched them away.

“I like you. I want to hold your hand and kiss you and be a couple, but it’s disgusting isn’t it?”

“No, of course not.” After a moment, Will reached for Nico’s hands again, and this time Nico didn’t pull away as he laced their fingers together. A thought occurred to Will. “It isn’t like it used to be, Nico. People think differently now. But just to be clear, being gay was never disgusting. It’s all the same love.”

Nico looked up and breathed a sigh of relief. “Still, I’m sorry. For being dramatic. For liking you.”

“Don’t be sorry. I like you. A lot.” They beamed at each other for a moment, and the knots in Nico’s stomach unraveled. Will leaned forward and kissed Nico’s forehead, then his nose, then his cheeks, and then gently on his lips.

Nico smiled into the kiss. When they pulled apart, Will asked meekly, “Can we cuddle?”

“No. Absolutely not. Get out of my cabin,” Nico deadpanned as he stood and pulled Will by the hand towards the chair and a half on the wall opposite his bed.

They settled in, Nico on Will’s lap, his head on the blonde’s chest and Will’s arms around Nico’s waist.

After Will had left, he texted Hazel, making sure it was her, and told her that he had a boyfriend, not just a crush.

He didn’t even stress over her reply.
