Check out this playlist on @8tracks: the dawn will come and the tide will rise by matildawhiskey.

Originally made in July 2013. My initial notes were: “Some of my friends are going through some really rough times right now, and I was thinking about them and wishing I were closer to them so I could try to help. And then I started thinking about all my friends, whether they’re going through tough times or not, and how much I wish I could be around all my friends all the time. It was raining outside and I was drinking a lot of coffee and feeling melancholy, and this mix happened. Some of the songs are definitely ‘sad bastard’ songs, some are more in the ‘buck up, kid’ vein, but they all, in their own ways, make me feel better. The title is the bastardization of a line from the Sundowner track. Oh yeah - this is the kind of stuff I sometimes listen to when I’m not listening to the punk rocks.”
