“Found me somebody I’m about to kill… this old dude,” chillingly exclaimed 37-year-old Steve Stephens into his mobile phone camera whilst on Facebook live on the 16th April, 2017. The man Stephens was referring to was 74-year-old grandfather, Robert Godwin, who was walking down a street in Glenville, Cleveland. Stephens pulled his car up beside the elderly man and told him that he was killing him because of his ex-girlfriend. He then shot Robert dead in broad daylight as he tried to cover his head with his hands and shopping bag.

Following this brutal and senseless killing, Stephens continued to broadcast on Facebook live, detailing his desire to “keep killing until they catch me,” adding that he had killed 13 people in what he referred to as the “Easter Sunday Slaughter.” Currently, no other bodies have been found. Stephens, who had worked as a children’s mental health case worker, said that he snapped after the breakdown of a three year relationship with an ex-girlfriend. Robert Godwin was described as “a good guy,” by one of his sons, who said his father would have given anybody the shirt off his back.

Steve Stephens is still on the run and has made contact with police, who are conducting a manhunt for the murderer. It was revealed that he could have crossed state lines and may be in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana or Michigan. Police have warned citizens to be on high alert and do not approach him if sighted.

McDonalds workers stalled Facebook killer Steve Stephens for police as he ordered fries

  • Before the police chase that would end in him taking his own life, Steve Stephenson — the man accused of brutally killing a 74-year-old man on Easter Sunday and filming it — stopped at a McDonald’s in Erie, PA.
  • In the midst of an intense manhunt that had been underway for him since Sunday, Stephens, 37, reportedly pulled up to the drive-thru to order a “20 piece Chicken McNuggets and a basket of fries,” according to Cleveland 19. Any hopes for a quick meal were dashed, however, when an employee recognized his face from television and called 911.
  • Henry Sayers, the store’s manager, said that his employees tried to act natural while the suspected killer idled at the window.
  • In an interview with, he said that the staff told Stephens that his fries “were going to be a minute” to try to stall him until police arrived.
  • Thomas DuCharme Jr., owner and operator of the McDonald’s, told the site that Stephens seemed to sense that something was fishy almost immediately. “I am pretty sure he figured out that we were on to him,” he said. “He didn’t want to wait for his fries.”
  • Stephens sped off without the fries, but police were soon in hot pursuit. Cleveland 19 reports that the chase lasted for about two miles before Stephens took his own life. Read more (4/18/17 4:30 PM)
Palm Sunday in Egypt: 31 killed in blasts in, near Coptic churches
By Joe Sterling, Faith Karimi and Mohammed Tawfeeq, CNN

”Bombs targeted two Coptic churches in Egypt as the Christian faithful observed Palm Sunday, one of the most important day on the religion’s calendar.

A powerful blast rippled through a Palm Sunday service at a Coptic Christian church in the northern Egyptian city of Tanta, killing 25 people and wounding 60 others, state TV reported. The explosive device at St. George Coptic church in Tanta was planted under a seat in the church, where it detonated in the main prayer hall, it said.At least six have been killed and 33 others wounded in a suicide bomb attack outside the Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Alexandria according to two state-news outlets. Egyptian state media also reports that the head of Egypt’s Coptic Church Pope Tawadros II was inside the Church when the blast happened.”

I know you’re all fucking deceased at this point and probably have no idea what to believe but I’m just gonna say it because I know a lot of people are feeling the same

Even if they brought Thomas back it doesnt make it ok for them to just make silverflint platonic. Not after 4 seasons of relationship development and build up, not to mention the amount of paralells we’ve been given with them and other canon romantic couples. Toby saying that Silver is the love of Flint’s life without them being canon and flinthamilton being endgame just doesn’t add up

The only way I can see any of this making sense would be if they were to make Silver and Flint’s feelings for each other canon, and the tragedy of it all in the end being James choosing Thomas and John choosing Madi

“It is some kind of hell to be forced to choose one irreplaceable thing over another”

A timeline of terrible events broadcast on Facebook Live — and why Facebook can’t stop it

  • Facebook Live is turning into a digital diary of graphic, violent activity. The livestreaming service has a dark side: footage of rapes, torture and suicide are being broadcast on the platform with relative frequency.
  • The most recent discussion about Facebook Live and livestream regulations resurfaced after a man named Steve Stephens shot and killed a 74-year-old named Robert Godwin Sr. on Sunday in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • “This is a horrific crime and we do not allow this kind of content on Facebook,” a Facebook spokesperson said. “We work hard to keep a safe environment on Facebook and are in touch with law enforcement in emergencies when there are direct threats to physical safety.”
  • But can Facebook Live do anything to stop disturbing content? Read more (4/17/17)
