Sign the Petition to Help Save Japan’s Dolphins

More than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are being slaughtered each year for their meat at the Cove in Taiji, Japan. Yet, the majority of the world is not aware of this happening. Be a part of the solution by signing and sharing this petition.

A girl meets a whale in captivity and through their experience she realizes it needs to be free.

This is a in progress cut of what will be The Orca Awareness Project scheduled to be completed Fall 2014.

Fifty three years ago this week the first orca known to be captured on the west coast was taken into captivity. “Wanda” was caught in Newport Harbor, California and lived for 2 days in captivity. Over the next 15 years, over 60 orcas were captured and the Southern Resident orca population dropped from about 120 to 70 members.

Fast forward to today, and the population is only at 78.

Instead of captivity, one of the biggest threats is lack of prey. You can help us do something about this by signing our Letter of Support for the removal of four dams in the Pacific Northwest, which will help increase the salmon population.
