Wonder Woman is an amazing movie, and it’s a big deal that it’s the first good solo female comic movie, but I keep seeing things about her being the first female action hero and it reminds me of the whole Frozen thing when people claimed it to be the first Disney movie about this, that, or the other thing when it wasn’t.
Ellen Ripley, Beatrix Kiddo, Mulan, Sarah Connor, Seline (Underworld), Alice (Resident Evil), and others, both who are and aren’t the main lead but are still cool and awesome. Granted the last two aren’t from great franchises, but are at least good characters with plently of kickassness to their names.
Point is, we’ve been having badass ladies since the 70s, and I think that should be celebrated along with the success of Wonder Woman instead of being made to seem like nothing else came before. You want more of them, talk about how much you like all of them. They aren’t as hard to find as you think!
PAN. I'M NOT GOING TO BUY YOUR DAMN SHIRT IF IT HAS A NUDE ON IT
