Last March, I had a pleasure of teaching kids a comic making class at Powhatan School in VA. Here’s a ‘How to make a How-to-comic’ comic I made for the class, and my one-page foldie of ‘How To Make a One Page Zine’.
I really should be studying for my biology exam tomorrow and finishing my giant ass english project but your stuff is just THE BEST MAN. THE FREAKING BEST. WAY BETTER THAN HOMEWORK. ANY DAY. THE BEST I'M TELLING YOU.
I’M GLAD BUT YOU SH—
—RIGHT!! SO THANKS and i wish you luck! but if you see the words “banana hammock” and it reminds you of some horrible bit of knowledge that you could never remember under pressure, then i will be MORE THAN PLEASED
ALSO GOOD LUCK WITH THE ENGLISH PROJECT I CAN’T HELP WITH THAT
This past week I have been teaching a kid’s Cartooning Club with Joyana Mcdiarmid at the Center for Cartoon Studies! Together the class produced a 48 page anthology, complete with a foldout clubhouse map! I just wanted to show off a bit because I am really proud of these kids and excited to have a chance to work at CCS with cartoonists like Joyana :)
