I’ve been preparing for an essay on Narrative Exposure Therapy and this stuff is getting to me. I never feel this way while working. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s about trying to deal with PTSD and traumatic events through the use of narratives, especially for children that are located in refugee camps, affected by war, and so on. It’s pretty powerful stuff but its also designed for people who don’t really have much going for them - in terms of psychological help and resources. Even through there are only a few studies out there dealing with this shit, the results are pretty impressive. I actually hear a calling, i’m going to have to consider. The kid version of this method is called KIDNED - also sounds like KIDNAP - should have thought about it.
