Tony may not be the most self-aware guy in the world, but there are a few things he knows:

  1. Iron Man and Tony Stark are one and the same,
  2. he’d make a terrible father,
  3. and his teammates don’t trust him.

So naturally, he’s the only man left standing when Loki ages them all back to toddlers.

This is going to go well.

Steve/Tony Fic Recs: Single Parent AU

For my dear @kiernaserea, who requested single dad Steve/Tony recs :D I hope you enjoy the recs *hugs* <3 As you might have guessed, a lot of these are superfamily :)

Comment and leave kudos!

Deep in the Heart of Me by Finely Honed (jaqen_hgar): There were days when the realization that he was someone’s father made Steve’s head hurt, but mostly he was grateful that he could trust his instincts, because apparently Peter was what had been missing from his life. Yes, he still had lingering, unresolved issues from his time in the Army, and sure, he had what Bucky annoyingly referred to as a criminally untapped ass, and no life outside of work and Peter, but Steve was okay with how his life had turned out because of trusting his instincts.

Unfortunately, those same instincts had straight up betrayed him by going absolutely haywire upon being exposed to Tony Stark.

Veteran single dad Steve runs a tattoo shop. For his 40th birthday, Pepper arranges for Tony to get that tattoo he always wanted, and he winds up with the mother of all crushes instead. Jumping out of airplanes is one thing, but falling in love is something else entirely. Steve struggles with the idea of actually letting someone into his life. Tony is left trying to keep his heart from being broken while Steve figures things out. (also includes Clint/Bucky)

My Son, My Sun by Wordsplat (@wordsplat): Just before the events of Iron Man, a baby is left on Tony’s doorstep. He wants nothing to do with it at first, but his time in Afghanistan changes his mind and Tony vows to become a better man for his son’s sake.

ten years too late (just in time) by theappleppielifestyle (@theappleppielifestyle ): Steve never went out with Tony when they were young despite Tony’s attempts at wooing him, mostly because he thought Tony was too much of a flimsy playboy who could never really commit seriously to anything that wasn’t partying.

Years later he runs into Single Father Tony taking care of his 3 year old. Tony refuses to buy his kid candy before dinner and is overall a pretty decent dad. Tony also thinks Steve could never be interested in him, since he was always rebuffed before, but Tony’s in for a surprise.

Signs of Life by cvsossong: Tony Stark gets thrown into a new world when a one- night stand ends with him having a son. When it’s discovered that Peter is deaf due to his mother’s mistakes while pregnant, Tony vows to become the father he never had. Fortunately, he’s got the Avengers to step up as a team— and a family.

It Takes a Village (or a team of superheroes) by cvsossong: Three months after the Chitauri attack, Tony received a phone call that changed his life. (Or, the one in which a group of remarkable people come together and balance battling villains and raising a child).

A Gentle Lullaby by navaan (@navaan): They, all of them, are mortal and sometimes their brushes with death bring them closer to it than other people ever get. Fighting is what they do. But fighting for other people’s survival without a thought to your own safety is easy when you’re not leaving someone behind. Good then, that they don’t have any families left… Until Hydra drops a new bundle of responsibility right in their laps. But that might not even be their biggest problem. (Ults fic)

The one where… Tony meets Mr. Rogers by shieldmaidenofrohan (@captainstarkreportingforduty): “Are you ready?”

Single dad Steve and Tony who loves his kid drabble and sequel by @theappleppielifestyle: Steve musters a smile and says, “I had fun, Tony.”“Me, too,” Tony replies, and Steve is about to close the door and get used to the fact he’ll probably never talk to him again when Tony asks, “When can I see you again?”

our kids are bitter rivals AU by @theappleppielifestyle:  Tony arrives at the principal’s office to find Steve talking in low tones to his nine year old, Sarah, who glares at the linoleum and occasionally mutters something back that gets her father frowning. “Fancy meeting you here,” Tony calls down the hall, and Steve looks up with a reluctant smile while Sarah scowls in the direction of both Tony and his nine year old, Jamie, who makes a face right back at her.

hot single dad Tony and kindergarten teacher Steve AU by @theappleppielifestyle: Mr. Rogers has been talked up so much that Tony goes into the first parent-teacher conference ready to look for some good things so he can agree with his daughter, or at least make up some good things so he can lie.

Because Mary hasn’t shut up about Mr. Rogers for weeks now, and goddamnit Tony is going to find at least one good thing about the man so he can keep up with these conversations instead of saying he bets Mr. Rogers is just as great as Mary says he is.

As it turns out, he is. Which is the bad part.

Simon dug the toe of his shoe into the dirt. He wasn’t sure why he felt so nervous. His mom had just bought him brand new light up sketchers. He felt bad for scuffing them up, but his feet wouldn’t hold still. “Calm down,” he whispered to them. They didn’t listen.

The new boy said he liked dandelions. Said they looked like sunshine. Miss Catherine told him they were weeds, and that boys didn’t give flowers to other boys.

“But what if I really like him? And what if they look like sunshine?”

“Maybe go pick some daisies instead,” she suggested, ignoring both questions. Simon didn’t care what she thought. The new boy was dark and serious and had pretty hair. He seemed so sad sometimes. Simon figured he could use a little sunshine in his life.

“Hey, Baz!” Simon called out when he spotted him across the playground. Baz looked at him, his dark hair, almost shoulder length, swinging around with his head. “Come here!”

Baz nodded and smiled. He was missing his front tooth. Simon was, too. Maybe they could talk about it. Did Baz still believe in the tooth fairy, Simon wondered?

“What do you want?” Baz asked, a little out of breath from running across the playground.

Simon held out the dandelions. “For you.”

“For me?”

“You said they looked like sunshine.” Simon giggled. Baz took the flowers from Simon and gave him a big grin.

“Your hair looks like sunshine!” Baz exclaimed, tucking the flowers in the chest pocket of his shirt. “Want to play firefighters with me?”

“Obviously,” Simon answered. Baz grabbed his hand and tugged him along. Simon grabbed back.

age difference au! :D

Adrien sprinted, trying to find a place to transform again. Ladybug was facing Lili the Kid alone while he fed Plagg. He needed to get back as quickly as possible—

Turning a corner, he nearly tripped over a little girl. She stumbled back and fell on her bottom, silent from surprise.

“Oh no, are you okay?!” Adrien asked, already bending over to pick her up. He froze when he saw who it was.

Ladybug must have caught the wrong end of Lili the Kid’s deagefying ray because she was tiny. Barely reaching his knees when she laboriously stood up, the toddler Ladybug’s armour looked like footie pyjamas on her. With chubby cheeks, big blue eyes set in a red mask, and a heartbreakingly adorable smile, she reached towards Adrien and made grabbing gestures with her hands.

“Up! Ad-en, up!” she demanded happily.

‘Ad-en’ melted.

“Come here, sweetheart,” he cooed, scooping her into his arms.

Ladybug giggled as she hugged his neck, comfortable in his hold. Adrien patted her back and looked around, his dopey grin falling.

“If you’re here, where’s the akuma?” he muttered, stiffening when he heard the whir of a laser behind him.

“Bad! Booooooooo!” Ladybug yelled, and Adrien started running.

After finally losing Lili the Kid, he hid himself in a janitor’s closet. Ladybug tugged at his collar, making questioning noises, and Adrien gave her a tired smile.

“I need you to be safe,” he said, tucking her hair behind her ear and brushing against her Miraculous. “But I can’t trust you to anyone.”

“Then take her when you go fight,” said Plagg, flying out of his pocket.

“Kitty!” shouted Ladybug.

Plagg!” hissed Adrien.

“Relax, she won’t remember,” said Plagg, lazily playing Keep Away with Ladybug using his tail. “So, are we doing this or what?”

amaronith  asked:

realize I'm a bit behind the asking, but if you're still taking bad day prompts... tony gets de-aged and the machine thing that did it is broken, but he can fix it! He can! Just don't tell his dad...! (I am kinda of a sucker for steve wanting to deck howard in his jerky jerk face and shoulda done it when he had the chance, damn it.)

The machine in the middle of the room is spitting sparks, the other lights in the workshop stuttering ominously.

Tony, who Steve had watched shrink down into the terrified ten-year-old he is now, is cowering near the machine, dark eyes huge in his pale face. “I can fix it,” he breathes, and flinches away from a burst of sparks. “I swear, I can fix it.”

“Okay,” Steve says, holding out his hands in an attempt to calm him. “That’s great—”

“I can fix it!” Tony repeats frantically, then he turns desperate eyes on Steve. “Don’t tell my dad.”

Steve bites down on his first thought, which is, Don’t worry, he’s dead. “I’m not going to. Can you come here? Away from the machine?”

It’s started to smoke and this tiny Tony is far too close for Steve’s comfort.

Tony glances over at the machine, wincing as he gets a faceful of smoke.

“Please,” Steve says, “come here, Tony. Come away from the machine before you get hurt.”

Tony’s small fingers flex toward the machine. “I can fix it,” he says again.

“I believe you,” Steve assures him, “but I want to make sure it’s safe first. Your dad wouldn’t want you to get hurt.”

“Since when?” Tony blurts and then blanches, shoulders hunching.

Blood surges in Steve’s temples and he grits his teeth, suddenly furious. He can’t believe Howard did this. That he made this brilliant, amazing kid think he’d rather see a solution than see him safe. Steve has to work hard to keep his voice level when he says, “Never mind. I don’t want you to get hurt. Please?”

Tony hesitates and then nods, crawling away from the machine.

To his horror, Steve spots blood on Tony’s neck. Unthinking, he reaches out and cups Tony’s chin, tilting his head back to get a better look. Tony goes rigid, freezing in place and Steve gentles his touch, even as rage boils through him.

A boy this young wouldn’t react like that without good reason.

“I’m sorry,” Steve says, “I’m sorry, Tony, I didn’t mean to frighten you. You’re bleeding, that’s all.”

Tony darts a look up at him, surprised and wary, and Steve wishes with a viciousness that surprises him that he’d decked Howard when he’d had the chance. He doesn’t know how long Tony will be like this, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t try to do right by Tony.

Daddy? Are You in Love with Prince Charming?

Written for Sterek Week 2017 (and for my darling bud @halesstiles who’s having a bad day, hope you enjoy babe <3)

On AO3

Summary: Derek takes his daughter Erica to Disneyland for the first time to celebrate her 8th birthday. The last thing he was expecting was to find the most beautiful guy he has ever seen dressed as prince charming.

Erica has been a bundle of restless energy and flying golden curls ever since they left the house.

Not like he could blame her, she’s been excitedly waiting for this day since she first learned what Disneyland was. He was planning on taking her a lot sooner than her 8th birthday but with everything that happened with Kate and their battle for custody of Erica after the divorce, there wasn’t much chance to plan a trip to Disneyland.

Now though, after everything was lawfully settled between him and Kate and he has full custody of Erica, it seemed like the perfect time to take the much needed vacation. Especially with Erica’s 8th birthday taking place tomorrow.

When they finally arrived at the resort Erica was practically jumping out of her skin with excitement and pleading Derek to go to the water park inside the resort.

It took less than 5 seconds for Derek to begrudgingly agree.

If We Never Got This Second Chance by Pookaseraph

When Tony and Steve’s son from the future, Jake Jensen, arrives at Avenger’s Tower, the two of them are forced to confront some hard truths: Tony that he might not actually become a horrible father, and Steve that he might not be able to set aside his discomfort with sharing a child with another man. When they both get a second chance at a first try at fatherhood, it’s up to the two of them to learn from their own future’s past.

Hold on when you get love (so you can let go when you give it) by msermesth

Steve’s thrown for a loop when dozens of babies, belonging to the Tonys and Steves of the extinct multiverse, mysteriously appear. But he’s not confused to find out that there were universes where he loved Tony.

He’s only surprised to learn that there were universes where Tony loved him back.

Held on as Tightly (as You Held on to Me)

written by: Emily / @prosciuttoe

prompt: ‘Could you write season 5 reunion/ maybe a little after, where the miners got there months before Bellamy and one of them is very interested in Clarke and Bellamy gets jealous…?’ for anonymous

word count: 3142

It’s obvious and annoying and above all, inconvenient. Sure, it’s been six years, but he and Clarke have always been a unit of sorts. The thought of someone else— someone he actively dislikes— trying to fit himself into their space chafes against him.

“Relax tiger,” Madi smirks, handing him a skewer of charred, unidentifiable meat. “She still likes you best, you know.”

He snaps out of his reverie, scowling. From here, he can just make out Clarke standing by the bonfire, lost in animated conversation with he-who-must-not-be-named. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Or: Clarke acquires a new shadow when Eligius lands down on earth. Bellamy handles it spectacularly well, naturally.

The second time Bellamy comes back down to earth, it’s to considerably more fanfare than he expects.

He senses it, before anything else— the shift in the air when he steps out of the pod, the familiar click of multiple weapons being loaded. There’s barely any time for him to react before there’s a gun trained right at him, the luminescent glow flaring bright against his chest.

(For a second, it’s all he can do not to stare, because right there, just through the trees, are people. People other than Murphy and Raven and the same faces of the past six years. They’re here. They exist.

They’re also about three seconds away from putting a bullet through him, but still.)

“Bellamy? What’s going on?”

Swearing, he reaches for his radio with exaggerated slowness, making sure to keep one arm raised above his head in what he hopes passes as a conciliatory gesture. “Stay in the pod, Harper.”

He flicks the dial, switching it off. Distantly, he thinks he can make out someone emerging from the trees, their footfalls gaining in volume with each second. Reflexively, he tenses, bracing himself—

Just as the figure comes into view, and his breath catches instinctively at the glint of gold, at a familiar stance because it can’t be, it’s not possible, and yet there’s no mistaking it.

It’s Clarke.

Okay so I wrote this little ficlet based on this video which is utterly adorable and everyone should look at it because it is just too cute okay. I’d also like to thank @captainpettie who was the one that gave me that extra little push to write this and gave me some very needed encouragement, plus I added a woofer on here cuz how could I not?

Being a parent is not easy.

Being a parent of triplets is hell on earth.

Stiles and Derek love their kids but raising three 1 year olds is by far their hardest mission and they’ve dealt with actual monsters! That kill people!

Throw in the fact that two of those 1 year olds are werewolves and it makes parenthood mission impossible.

Stiles has no idea why but when one triplet starts to cry, they all start to cry because the other one is crying. Which makes solving the actual problem a thousand times more difficult than it needs to be.

It especially sucks when it happens after Stiles and Derek spend a mini eternity trying to put them all to bed.

Now In A Minute by thealmightyavocado  @avocadolouie

Length: 150k

13 feels like yesterday for many people, but for Louis it actually was.

More than anything in the world, Louis Tomlinson dreams of growing up. Simply skipping over all of the awkward, embarrassing years of teenage existence and getting on with life. Real life.

So when thirteen-year-old Louis wakes up in the body of his thirty-year-old self, he expected everything in his adult life to be picture perfect. And maybe it is. He has it all…or so it seems.

Except his favorite person and lifelong best mate, Harry Styles, is totally missing from the equation and Louis doesn’t understand why. He has a lot of catching up to do and as adult life turns out to be more than what he bargained for, Louis can’t help wondering why a life that seemed so perfect, feels so empty.

Or the 13 going on 30 au that should have been done years ago.

WELL SURE THING. This one’s a proper tiny drabble, SFW, and as the prompt suggests, it’s definitely kidfic.

Jesse flopped facedown onto the bed and brought a pruny hand up to pat Hanzo’s thigh. “Bathtime: accomplished,” he groaned. “Jiro’s readin’ to her.” He rolled onto his back and stretched, felt his back and especially his knees try and fail to pop. “What’s on the docket for tomorrow?”

You stick roses in my gun

written by: Josefine / @selflessbellamy

prompt: ‘soldier!Bellamy either he and Clarke are pen palls of some sort or him coming home.’ for @mickle-the-pickle

word count: 2787

Bellamy realizes that it would be much easier to be at war if he had nothing to return to — if he hadn’t fallen in love with Clarke. If there wasn’t burning memories at the back of his mind, telling him to come home: to the scent of rose petals that seems to live in her skin, to waking up at the crack of dawn and find her naked at the foot of the bed, sketching.

And then, of course, there’s Maddie. Clarke’s adopted daughter that he thought wouldn’t warm up to him until he’d been in her life for a while, but after three months, she was calling him dad and he was picking her up from school every day in his old Ford. They’d spend the rides listening to the mixtapes he made as a teenager, shouting the words of ‘What’s Up?” at the top of their lungs. Sometimes, on the weekends the three of them would pack their bags and go camping in the woods. Maddie loved those trips, which you wouldn’t expect from a thirteen-year-old girl. Usually, they spend all of their time online instead of cherishing the time they have with their family.

(“Who’s that?” Sergeant Miller had asked earlier when he caught him looking at a Polaroid that Clarke took of him and Maddie just before he left for Afghanistan.

“My daughter.”

“Christ, Blake. I didn’t know you had a kid. I’m sorry.”)

He hadn’t even bothered to tell Miller the actual truth, because this version felt more real. What didn’t feel real was being here, in a warzone when he should be celebrating Thanksgiving with them. It pains him to think about the fact that he would’ve never signed up for the army if he had met Clarke in high school. Back then when he made that impulsive decision, he was a confused, rebellious teenager searching for a purpose and a way to deal with the anger that was curling up inside him, making it hard to breathe.

He had no reason not to enroll in the army, but he does now.

The Accidental Hale Brood

by Julibean19 (AO3)

Fandom: Teen Wolf

Pairing: Derek Hale x Stiles Stilinski

Word count: 42k

Rating: Mature

Summary: “I know, I just…” Derek trailed off, rubbing his forehead with both hands, frustrated that the right words weren’t coming to him.

“What?” Stiles asked honestly, pulling on one of Derek’s wrists until he could see his expression again.

Derek’s heart pounded in his chest so loud he figured even Stiles could hear it. He inhaled deeply and let the air out slowly through his nose, trying to keep his voice even. “When we take them places, and spend time with them, and make them smile… it feels like…”

“It feels like they’re yours,” Stiles finished for him, licking his lips before snagging the bottom one between his teeth.

“No,” Derek said, taking Stiles by surprise. “It feels like they’re ours.”

“Oh,” Stiles said simply, mouth still slightly open while he contemplated Derek’s words.

Or, the one in which Stiles and Derek have been BCPD partners for years when they are assigned Halloween duty and run into a couple of kids from the orphanage. One fake marriage and two real adoptions later, they somehow become a family.

This one’s for the anon who prompted me with Stiles and Derek as five year olds. All together now: awwww!

It’s been a long time since John Stilinski woke up to the sight of Stiles streaking naked around the living room. Although, if he’s honest with himself, it hasn’t been that long. It’s Stiles, after all. But it’s been a long time since Stiles was running around naked and he only came up to John’s waist.

“Stiles?” John asks, jaw dropping. His eighteen-year-old son doesn’t look a day over five.

“Daddy!” Stiles dives into his lap, bare knees squeaking against the worn leather of the chair.

He’s so damn little.

John runs his hands down his cold back, and stares helplessly over his shoulder at Scott, who suddenly appears in the doorway.

“Um,” Scott says. “So there were these witches…”

It’s really dark. Derek isn’t scared of the dark, because he’s an alpha and he’s not scared of anything. He has claws and red eyes, and he’s the scariest thing in the dark! He’s much scarier than the bogeyman. He prowls back and forth on the cold floor for a little while, making practice growls and pretending to fight bad guys, but then he finishes doing that and it’s still dark, and now he’s hungry too, and there’s nothing in his refrigerator except some eggs and some powder stuff in a tin that tastes really gross.

Derek’s tummy growls, and he stands on his tiptoes to see if there’s anything in the cabinets. Then, because he’s still not tall enough, he gets a stool and clambers up on that instead. There’s some stuff in the cabinets, but Derek’s not super great at reading yet, and he doesn’t recognize any of these labels. None of them are peanut butter, that’s for sure. Maybe alphas don’t eat peanut butter. Maybe grownups don’t. Derek isn’t really sure of the rules.

He wishes his mom was here.

Derek’s tummy hurts and it’s not just because he’s hungry. It’s because he knows that this is supposed to be where he lives except nothing here feels right. He wants Mom and Dad. He wants Laura. He wants to be sitting at the kitchen table, swinging his legs and watching eagerly while dinner gets made. This cold dark open space isn’t his home.

Where’s Mom?

He knows he should remember, but it’s really, really hard.

It’s like the longer he stands here in the dark, the harder it gets.

The smaller he feels.

“Mom?” he whispers in the dark. “Momma?”

Nobody answers him.
