had to reblog that because i have a friend who keeps saying "man i suck i wasn't cut out for drawing" and i can't make the message clear enough without trying to be too nice. it's a bad, bad issue and it's so very popular in young artists, especially the ones with mental illnesses like my buddy. success doesn't come with defeat.
Defeat is a learning experience that leads to success, but only if you don’t see it as defeat. You’ve gotta get yourself into that mindset, and it’s not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is CRUCIAL.
I’m doing a sign-up for seven original characters of 7 other people to do for a countdown to Halloween.
If you wish to one of the lucky few, please reblog this post with a character name, a reference of that character, and the character from a video-game or movie/television series that your OC will cosplay.
Sign-ups close October 20th, so be sure to reblog before then!
You know, Im gonna come to your blog for more inspiration. Cuz daaaaang, I need some inspirations to draw humans and you're someone who draws humans very good. (Like Ask-joeydrewstudios and Kfrances) You magical being.
Shucks thanks! I try my best ;D Honestly humans are all I can draw besides toony toons- its kinda sad.
pet some dogs and drink some hot cocoa and relax. draw art for yourself and in private groups or small groups that you trust. you don't need to commit your art to the public until you feel ready, but don't let it discourage you from creating. stretch your drawing muscles and relax, do what you want to. take this break as a sort of freedom from being treated like garbage by social media. there's a reason i'm reluctant to update my blog, too. take care my guy and don't stress. -frances
