HIGHLIGHTS OF MY FIRST PRIDE:

  • this person in the t-rex suit was a 50-something woman and my goals are to be that cool at that age
  • the people I saw wearing ace flags as capes. what a good acethetic (ha). I wasn’t alone!!!
  • the Christian group who made a sign blockade in front of the homophobic preacher. this is how to ally, friends.
  • the DJ by the front gates slowly cranking up the Taylor Swift so you couldn’t hear Homophobic Preacher’s bullhorn
  • “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” drowning out fundagelicals is Mood and I am 110% here for it
  • the 80-something lady dressed ENTIRELY in rainbows dancing by the side of the parade

Can you imagine watching your team, in their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals in franchise history, going in as an 8th seed, at home, with an additional 3,000 fans watching in the streets outside the arena, lose the championship because of an extremely quick whistle, all of your players hard work, sacrifices, and overcoming injuries essentially reduced to nothing?

That shit was evil.
