Peter Coppola’s Steven Lightfoot Offers Styling Advice in Modern Salon’s November Issue

Steven Lightfoot, the Technical Director of Education and Product Development for Peter Coppola Keratin Concept, shared his professional styling expertise with readers of the November 2013 issue of Modern SalonMagazine in a feature titled Textured Upstyles.  In the feature, which highlighted a few soft, simple updos worn by celebrities as well as tips on how to re-create the looks, Lightfoot shows readers how to achieve the elegant ponytail look that Heidi Klum wore to the Emmys.

For starters, he suggests that stylists keep clients’ hair lines sleek and fly away free with a ponytail starting slightly below the apex of the head.  Then a cascading ponytail should be created, with fine sections of hair cleverly concealing the bands used to secure each tier of the ponytail.  Hair should be slightly teased, lightly sprayed and smoothed between sections in order to keep hair light and soft-looking all night long.

As Lightfoot explains about Heidi Klum’s gorgeous Emmy updo, “It’s just a genius play on a traditional high pony.”

Coppola Products Featured On AM Northwest Morning TV Show

On November 7th, Peter Coppola products were introduced on a beauty segment during the AM Northwest morning television show on KATU in Portland, Oregon.  The segment featured Steven Lightfoot, an expert stylist and the beauty expert for AM Northwest, who shared holiday tips and tricks to achieve beautiful hair.

As Lightfoot showed viewers during the segment, getting salon-style hair at home doesn’t have to be difficult and requires only three basics – a blow dryer, a flat iron and the right styling products.  During the segment, he explained to viewers and the host that there are new products available that can cut down on blow drying time while smoothing hair and leaving it with bounce and volume.   Coppola Just Blow Spray was shown and samples of the blow dry spray were also distributed to the live audience. When asked by the host how the spray holds up to the damp Portland weather, Lightfoot explained that the spray also includes an anti-humectant to keep moisture off of hair, an important quality for those living in this part of the country.

Lightfoot also showed viewers how to easily add body to hair, explaining that all that is needed is blow dry spray and styling cream (Coppola’s Keratin Concept brand was again shown, including Just Blow Blow-Out Spray and Full Volume Styling Cream) along with the heat of a blow dryer.  Using the styling products, hair can be flipped upside down to dry and then flipped back to achieve bounce.  When discussing ways to maintain hair’s color, a series of color care shampoo and conditioner products was shown in the foreground, including the Coppola Keratin Concept brand.

With so many products to choose from, the expert stylist explained that the best way to decide which products to buy to achieve beautiful hair is to consult a salon professional so you buy smart.
