The Cumberland River in Southeastern KY on July 15, 2015 at minor flood stage (near the 29.75 ft crest.) This was the tail end of the storm system that caused serious devastation in Johnson Co. KY a couple of days ago.
We’ve had a foot more rain than what is normal for this time of year here in Eastern Kentucky. There’s just too much water and no place for it to go.
(Also, that bridge is still in use. It’s really not as scary as it looks.)
