@the_ryan_kelley: It was 100+ degrees out yesterday so I went and bought a mini pool. Obviously I didn’t read any of the directions because why would I do that?! Needless to say I screwed it up turning it into a giant baby pool 🙃 WhAteVeR.. it just means I’m allowed to pee in it like all the little kids do!
8. “”The other cast members weren’t slouches either. One day, during a particularly intense confrontation between McCoy and Spock, DeForest Kelley leaned forward and kissed Leonard Nimoy on the nose. Leonard just stared at him, shocked, then realized what he had done and broke up. But it didn’t end there. They couldn’t do a retake. Every time Leonard got close to DeForest and looked him in the eye, he broke up laughing again. And the effect was contagious. Pretty soon no one on the set could keep a straight face. Leonard and De were too conscious of their nose-to-nose position, they couldn’t stay in character long enough to do the shot. Finally, Joe Pevney, the director, gave up. They had to move to another set and pick up some other shots””
I hope that makes your day! It certainly does mine. And with the Roddenberry Vault on the horizon (aka Tuesday, the 13th), it would certainly be interesting if it showed up on the missing footage reel in the set. I would die very happily if it were so.
“Here’s something odd: there is a cat hovering in the men’s bathroom at
the radio station here. He seems perfectly happy and healthy, but it’s
floating about four feet off the ground next to the sink. Doesn’t seem
to be able to move from its current hover-spot. If you pet him, he
purrs, and he’ll rub on your body like a normal cat if you get close
enough. Fortunately, because he’s right by the sink, it was pretty easy
to leave some water and food where he could get it, and it’s nice to
have a station pet. Wish it wasn’t trapped in a hovering prison in the
men’s bathroom, but listen: no pet is perfect. It becomes perfect when you learn to accept it for what it is.“
