i feel like kil'jaeden will be the 2nd to last boss of legion. i don’t think they’d pull a thing like they did w archimonde again, but, i don’t know who the very last boss would be? i rly hope it’s something they use as a set up for either an azshara or kel'thuzad/new lich king expansion, and not wrathion or jaina or anduin or w/e.
DIDN'T YOU RESURRECT KEL'THUZAD FROM ASHES? JUST GO POLLUTE THE SUN WELL AGAIN, I HEAR THEY HAVE A NEW ONE. ....Kel'thuzad was ashes right?
I don’t think he was. In Tichondrius’ words, “These remains are badly decomposed. They will never survive the trip to Quel'Thalas.” Which implies that Kel’Thuzad wasn’t ashes, and they had to stay intact enough to survive the walk from Lordaeron to to the Sunwell, thus Arthas had to flip his dad off one more time and steal his urn. (Which tbh was probably the best “What the actual fuck” moment of both the book and the game.)
It’s been stated a lot that the only way to really ensure that someone doesn’t return from the dead is to burn the body. I remember straight up reading in one of the books (from the War of the Ancients trilogy, I think) that the Scourge could not raise ashes.
Illidan reduced Gul’dan to dust in the wind. He ain’t coming back, not without Arthas suddenly decided to Gul’dan Gul’dan and resurrect him First Gen Death Knight Style, which I’m almost certain Arthas wouldn’t even know how to do.
If Gul’dan is resurrected, it won’t be via the Scourge. He better hope that Kil’jaeden really, really liked him, ‘cause otherwise that son of a bitch is spending the rest of eternity screaming in the Shadowlands.
