Daddy 5SOS Preference: Hurt

“what about one of the kids getting hurt?”

A/N: This one was fun. I tried to stay away from making them all babies, so I hope you enjoy the older kids as well. Let me know what you think! xx

Luke: Luke watched out the window as fourteen year old Kayla stood outside with the fifteen year old Clifford twins, watching as Isaac skated circles around his sibling and cousin, the latter two sitting with Hannah braiding Kayla’s hair in some intricate, difficult looking braid.

Will!” Will’s head snapped up at the sound, his eyes scanning the front of the infirmary for the half-dead demigod that must need saving. He rushed up front, his fingers already tingling with the feeling of his healing powers. When he reached the doors though, he didn’t find a body slowly bleeding out on the floor, or someone holding another camper, but Kayla, holding a small black bundle in her arms.

Will’s eyebrows scrunched up and he gave Kayla a look. “What’s the problem?”

Kayla jutted her chin in the direction of the bundle. “You’re not gonna like this.” She gave a small cooing noise and removed the cloth. “Hey Nico, I brought you to Will. He can keep you safe, okay? He’s nice, I promise. He’s your friend.”

Will’s eyebrows shot up. “Nico?” How was the three year old in Kayla’s arms his boyfriend? Last time Will checked, (this morning), Nico was an almost healthy seventeen year old. The kid’s bright brown eyes turned on Will and Will sucked in a breath. Those eyes couldn’t belong to anyone but his boyfriend.

“Stolls. We’ve already got the Hectate Cabin working on a cure, but we don’t know how long it’s going to last. We’ll cover the infirmary if you can take care of him.” Kayla didn’t give a chance to respond before heading further into the infirmary, leaving Will with a toddler Nico.

“Do you know who I am?” Will looked down at Nico who was clutching Will’s shirt.

“Will?” Nico’s accent was much thicker and the name came out as “We-ll?” Will gave him a gentle smile and nodded.

“That’s right. Are you hungry? Do you want to get something to eat?”

Nico shook his head. “I want Mama. And Bia.” Will’s heart sunk. How was he supposed to tell Nico that his mother and sister were long gone?

“They’re not here. But they told me to send you their love.” Nico smiled, seemingly satisfied with the answer. He yawned and laid his head on Will’s shoulder.

“I tired.” Will smiled and gently ran his fingers through Nico’s short hair. He started walking toward the Apollo cabin, figuring that the Hades cabin was much too creepy for a three year old. When he got there, he gently set Nico down on his bed, pulling a blanket over him.

“You can take a nap, I’ll still be here when you wake up.” Nico shook his head, his eyes staying wide-open. “What’s wrong?”

“I need a teddy.” Will would never admit it, but he always kept a stuffed bee under his pillow. He pulled it out and handed it to Nico. “Lay with me.” It wasn’t a question like the normal Nico would ask, but the demand of a three year old who wanted their sibling to lay down with them. Nico was too cute to say no to anyway.

“Alright.” Will curled up around Nico, singing soft lullabies until they both fell asleep.

It would be adorable
