Shout-out to my local bookstore, which is THE BEST. Y'all. I was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, but then I walked from the library where I work to the local bookstore on my lunch (as I do almost every day) and they gave me free ARCs. So. Much. Love.
The book is written by Kathleen Flynn and it’s a wonderful read for anyone going to Le Cordon Bleu or anyone who wants to go; no matter how old you are, how much you already know (or that you think you know), and what your motives are behind going. The woman jumps head first into going to LCB in Paris without speaking fluent French…or rather she can barely speak French. It’s about her trials in the kitchen, as well as tying in the trials of life outside the kitchen. I really gave me a confidence boost to read it. If she can do all that she did then I can do whatever is necessary to pursue my passion as well; even if it means only a few hours of sleep or none at all. (After all that’s what energy drinks are for :P)
