Someone wrote me it was also Kataang ship week, and I thought that would be good to draw them *A*

Later I found out there were specific themes for each day and Day 1 was apparently ‘Hands’ so I am not sure if I it fit or not because I already drew them like this by that time but whatever

also not sure how do colours work, but pretty sure not this way.__.

Whoo! I don’t even know what to say about this one… but it’s so silly, I should probably be embarrassed about it. XD

One thing I’ve always loved (thanks, Inuyasha fandom!) is ridiculous, angsty, romance AUs. There is nothing better than reading about two people completely in love with one another who can’t seem to figure out how to get together. Now, understand, I don’t mean that ~*love triangle crap*~ (sorry, Inuyasha fandom).

Instead, I’m talking about the type of story where two people love each other so much, and they’re so desperate to make each other happy, that they keep ruining their chances to hook up. Mmm! Delicious fluffy drama!

Anyway, the sad fact is that Avatar fandom is just short on AUs in general. I blame all the shipping wars, really. UGH. What more have you cost me, shipping wars??! Look at what you’ve driven me to! Inventing scenes of my own for fics that do not exist. (*Fangirl Problems*)

Ok, uh, I feel like I ought to explain what was in my head when I doodled this.

I suppose it’s the very beginning of the big final romance-y drama scene. Katara is moodily consoling herself on a balcony (so well-drawn!) when Aang arrives to tell her he’s leaving. Maybe he thinks she doesn’t love him. Maybe she’s engaged to someone else! Maybe the Avatar isn’t allowed to marry or something. IDK!

Whatever it is, it’s all about to come to the surface, because Katara isn’t going to be able to let him go without confessing her feelings. (And Aang, no matter how alternate the universe, isn’t going to let Katara’s love go unreciprocated.)

Character(s): The Gaang
Rating: M
Pairings: Kataang
Words: 2000+ (this one got kind of carried away)
Prompt: ’When they discover that Katara is pregnant for the first time, Aang and Katara stress about beginning this new phase in their life.’
A/N: Loosely based around the prompt, but it does deal with Kataang finding out, and dealing with, this new beginning in their life. Also sex.

Katara finds she does some of her best thinking late at night, when she’s curled up next to her husband, his sweat cooling on her skin.

YAY I finally thought of something for a prompt :D Sorry it’s rushed…

There were actually a few definitions for “deluge” but I went with “a heavy rainfall”. I like to think they kept that umbrella from The Fortuneteller and yes I know they can just bend the water to keep it off of them but being under an umbrella is cuter

Katara:These pictures tell their story. They met on top of the mountain that divided their two villages. The villages were enemies, so they could not be together. But their love was strong and they found a way. The two lovers learned earthbending from the badgermoles, they became the first earthbenders. They built elaborate tunnels, so they could meet secretly. Anyone who tried to follow them would be lost forever in the labyrinth. But, one day, the man didn’t come. He died in the war between the two villages. Devastated, the woman unleashed a terrible display of her earthbending power, she could have destroyed them all. But, instead, she declared the war over. Both villages helped her build a new city where they would live together in peace. The woman’s name was Oma and the man’s name was Shu. The great city was named Omashu as a monument to their love.

Except Republic City wasn’t named Kataraang (or Kataang)…
