The Numbers Station (2013) - dir. Kasper Barfoed

What the film does well: moves at a fast pace, creates a sense of claustrophobia, strong motifs, unexpected moments of brilliant dialogue, has the audience trying to figure out exactly what’s happening in a fun way.

What the film does wrong: nearly everything else. There’s no character development. It’s just kind of showy - and when you do finally figure it all out you realize how little you care. The conceptualization of the central, driving plot is just not as cool as they want it to be.
