SEND ME A PROMPT AND I’LL WRITE A DRABBLE ABOUT IT
Author’s Note: Because I’ve never seen the Alien series (and never really plan on doing so) I based this off the Alien Isolation game that I played once at a mate’s place. Pretty good game, doesn’t focus on violence just on stealth… which I enjoyed quite a bit.
A woman scrambles to an emergency station air lock, a squirming bundle clinging to her neck. Checking the entrance for any signs of conflict she locates the control panel and, quickly gaining access to the door, prepares to open it. Strapping a rope about her waist tightly she leans against the control panels base and wraps a protective arm about her child once satisfied with the ropes strength. There was little time before she would need to take action and despite her hesitation, the consequences had been thought through. The risks were innumerable but at this time… it didn’t matter. It was either her or the entire ship.
She held her baby closer, humming a gentle tune.
“Baby, don’t you worry,”
The growing sound of heavy steps speed down the hall in response.
“Coz it’s a lost case,”
The steps quicken, the sound entering the room with a clatter.
“All you remember,”
Her lips form a smile as she hits the button.
“No one can hear you in space,”
