Black Eyed Peas - Joints & Jam (Navy Shade Edit)

Navy Shade, Dj/Producer from London, just released his edit of Black Eyed Peas’s”Joints & Jam”, featured on Karma Kid’s last set for MixMag.

We liked the freshness of this edit. It’s interesting to see how Navy Shade knows how to  appropriate  big hits and to recycle them into dope edits..

Just About the Music - Vol 4

The first I heard of this ‘Kid’ was the track 'LouLou’ on Eton Messy’s Mix #3 a couple of months back. Since I have been listening to the talented and young producer, 'Karma Kid’ on repeat, with each track of his growing on me more and more.

Karma Kid, is 17 year old Sam Knowles from Matlock, has received rave reviews for his producing, with his sensual mix of dubstep, new house beats and soft r&b vocals. He is signed to Bondax’s new label 'Just Us Recordings’.

As a producer he is growing in popularity amongst DJs and electronic listeners, producing a 5 minute Minimix for Annie Mac’s Friday night Radio 1 show last week. He is playing at 'Annie Mac Presents’ alongside AlunaGeorge and Madeon, at Koko next Saturday. A night not to miss if you’re nearby in London.

Get to know his music through my 'Track of the Week’, with his remix of 'Bwana’s’ 'Baby Let Me Finish’, which I posted last Friday. 'Delight in Delware’ is another track which I was considering posting so check that one out.

We can expect big things from him over the next year, and someone I want to catch live very soon.
