BeautyCon NYC

Hmmmm. Where do I begin? I attended BeautyCon this year, after hearing about it while I was at IMATS NYC. This year, is the first year beautycon has come to New York! Woo-Hoo. I had seen previous videos of the event in LA, and started to fall in love. Learning, shopping, and eating, all in one place?! Count me in! It was different than what I had expected, but what I had experienced there was something I have (yes this is going to sound sappy) something I have always dreamed of. Literally. I had the, amazing, opportunity to meet an all time idol of mine, as I’m sure you all know the beautiful, and fabulous, Karissa Pukas. She spoke, in a panel, in a seminar titled “A Diva is The Female Version of A Hustler”, yes the song was stuck in my head all day too. Listening to her speak, and the rest of the panel, consisting of Cocoa&Breezy, Karen Blanchar, as well as many others, was truly inspiring. And very well needed. I haven’t had a good heaping spoonful of inspiration in too long! “At the end of the day, if you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else either? You need to always have your own back, sometimes you may jump, you may fall, but thats okay, cause thats a learning lesson in time.“ -Karissa Pukas

Needless to say, I walked out of the event a lot more knowledgeable than I had walked in, and a big thanks to everyone who took apart of it!

xoxo Sarah
