karin field

there was nothing TRULY concrete to respect about Karin's feelings for Sasuke until the very end, so of course people are going to decide they like her now and they should NOT get shit for that. respecting a character after being given something concrete to go off of is perfectly justifiable.

I understand that this is your opinion, but what exactly do you mean by ‘TRULY concrete”? Are you trying to say that sasuke and Karin didn’t have a positive enough base to their relationship to justify her love?  I would respectfully disagree.

eeeh, the panels are way too large

Do you believe that because Sasuke treated her horribly the entire time he knew her, her feelings were nonsensical? Sasuke is an aloof person, so to a certain extend i can respect that argument. But in another sense I would argue that Sasuke was rather respectful towards her, especially when compared with how he usually treats people.

He wasn’t forceful in his request, and he made sure that she knew he valued her addition to the team.

Do you believe that sasuke’s interactions with Karin prevented her from being presented as a strong-willed character, therefore making any possibly relationship with Sasuke detrimental to her character? Again, Sasuke can be harsh and characters around him (ALL of them) do suffer as a result. But Karin handles that field rather well when compared to how some other character interact with sasuke.

Or by saying that there was nothing truly concrete did you mean that her feelings were all selfishly based prior to 710?

LONG before Karin showed up in Gaiden, it was already shown that her real motivation in her interactions with Sasuke was to make him happy. All she wanted to see was another genuine smile from him. Am I going  to say that lust was nonexistent?

OBVIOUSLY NOT. I’ll admit that at times she could be perverted to the verge of becoming creepy, but then, who in this series isn’t a pervert?

I understand your point though, that we longtime SK and Karin fans shouldn’t be hostile to the new fans. Overall I agree with that.  My problem isn’t with all or even the majority of the new fans, but problem is with the fans who say that Karin was a complete slut before 710. You don’t have to agree with me perfectly on her standing and character, but you have to admit that she was far more than simply a horny fangirl during and before Gaiden. It’s when people ignore this fact and completely ridicule Shippuden Karin that I beceome hostile.
