Spoiler-free review: Ruroni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno

The full title of this is actually ’Spoiler-Free Review: Ruroni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno – Hot Middle-aged men, Badass Geriatrics and Terrifying Video game boss antagonists Ft. local insane writer.‘ And it’s exactly what it says on the tin.

It is this admin trying to do a nice, proper review and the other admin, who watched the film with me, attempts to shove a billion Kamen Rider references into the mix.

(Looking at you, Ryotaro, Ankh).

Satoh Takeru is Badass as Kenshin, he also gets many berseker-battousai moments. All the better for eye-candy.

Fujiwara Tatsuya is genuinely frightening and believable as Shishio, his cute right-hand man, Kamiki Ryunosuke (Seta Soujiro), is also a genius and needs to be stopped before he takes over the world of J-actors.

Okina is badass, and ripped (I had no idea that old, old men could be so attractive until I watched the movie)

In short, if you’re waiting for that final push to actually watch the movie. You should read more.
