T (to Klaus): I-I just have one quick question:
Victoria seems like a great girl. Why wouldn’t you want to marry her?
K: Ach, okay, Victoria is wunderbar.
I’m sorry, wunderbar is the German word for wonderful.
T: Yeah, no, I know.
K: Oh, you speak German?
Sie sprechen Deutsch?! Ich habe keine Freunde, die Deutsch sprechen in Amerika!
Das macht mich so einsam, so einsam!
T: No… No, no, no… No, just-just-just the one word.
K: Oh. Oh. Okay, Victoria. There is a word in German:
Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz. And the closest translation would be… “Lifelong Treasure of Destiny.” And Victoria is wunderbar, but she is not my Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz. She is my Beinaheleidenschaftsgegenstand, you know?
You know wunderbar but you don’t know Beinaheleidenschaftsgegenstand? That is something we learn in kindergarten. I’m sorry, “kindergarten” is the German word for–
T: No, no, I know that one. Oh, okay.
K: But you don’t know Beinaheleidenschaftsgegenstand? You are maddeningly inconsistent. It means… “the thing that is almost the thing that you want, but it’s not quite.” Das ist Victoria to me.
T: How do you know she’s not Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz? I mean, maybe as the years go by, she’ll get Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz-ier.
K: Oh, nein, nein, nein. Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz is not something that develops over time.
It is something that happens instantaneously. It courses through you like the water of a river after a storm…filling you and emptying you all at once.
You feel it throughout your body…
In your hands…
in your heart…
in your stomach…
…in your skin…
Of course you feel it in your Schlauchmachendejungen.
Pardon my French. Have you ever felt this way about someone?
T: Yeah, I think so.
K: If you have to think about it, you have not felt it.

Yes, I know this is not exactly a swarkles quote, BUT I just needed to include that!
First of all, Robin is all jealous and sad when she thinks Barney got rid of all things of their relationship. She said she could never do that (CRIES. Plus: oh yeah, sure. But after their divorce, she can easily forget everything)
And then: this cute scene where Robin finds the stuff in the Storage unit. My heart still hurts when I see this scene. It was so damn cute, but also bittersweet. The pics we saw of them- just OMG, I think they show pretty damn well their relationship was so not only about sex, but also a lot about spending time together and obviously enjoying this time together.
Last, but not least: I included the quote because it still bugs me how easily the writers seem to have forgotten what they told and showed us in himym. Klaus tells Ted that you just know when you find your lebenslangerschicksalsschatz, that you don’t have to think about it! Ted was with Robin- if she is his lebenslangerschicksalsschatz, why the hell did Ted have to think about it? Why still searching for the mother? Yes, when they say the mother is ted’s lebenslangerschicksalsschatz, but whose is Robin’s then? Ted? We should believe that? When Klaus tells how the lebenslangerschicksalsschatz feels like we see Robin watching the relationship stuff from HER AND BARNEY and BARNEY thinking about HER. So everybody, SERIOUSLY EVERYBODY watching the show thought that barney and robin will end up together. And after making us believe that, they divorce them and tell us people who don’t like haven’t watched the show properly or are no real fans?????
(Sorry, this scene always makes me emotional because of the bittersweetness of this cute swarkles-moment)
