(This is the crossover episode with Macgyver/Hawaii five-0)

“There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable… I simply am not there.”

Los Angeles Times critic Justin Chang tells Fresh Air producer Ann Marie Baldonado about his favorite film at Sundance:

“My favorite film of the festival was Call Me By Your Name, which is the latest film from the Italian director Luca Guadagnino. He previously directed I Am Love and A Bigger Splash. This is an adaptation of a novel by André Aciman, which was published in 2007. It’s about an American-Jewish 17 year-old boy who is living in Northern Italy with his family who are academics, and it’s about the love affair that he has with someone who is staying as an academic house guest with them over the summer, and the boy is played by Timothée Chalamet, and the older man that he falls in love with is played by Armie Hammer, and this is just such an exquisitely sensual film that is kind of a revelation to encounter in a place like Park City, Utah.”
