justice pirate

I have a headcanon that in Justice, since Ace was used to Kitsune randomly demanding hugs, he makes an aborted motion to hug Whitebeard at the beginning when he's just accepted him as his father. His crewmates are about to mercilessly tease him about it when Whitebeard makes it ship policy to give him a hug before leaving his presence. Cue spit takes.

In which Whitebeard is super pleased with himself, because now he gets all the hugs, and Ace is just a precious happy little cinnamon roll who doesn’t have a clue what he’s started,

do you happen to know if there are any latinx characters represented in cartoon shows? :0

Well at the top of the list we have multiple characters from Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Handy Manny, ¡Mucha Lucha!, Maya & Miguel, and El Tigre - all of which center around Latinx protagonists and feature Spanish to varying degrees. These are the shows that are really getting little Latinx kids in the US to feel comfortable in their own skin and I wish they had been around when I was growing up.

I am so happy that we have shows that feature Latinx characters and cultures so heavily like that and that they are made for a very young audience, but almost all of us already know about those shows. So here are some animated Latinx characters that I think are deserving of more love…

Rex and Caesar Salazar from Generator Rex

Jaime Reyes from Young Justice

Miguel O’Hara from The Ultimate Spider-Man

Paulina from Danny Phantom

Master Hector Chavez from Kaijudo

Mas y Menos from Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go

LaCienega Boulevardez from The Proud Family

Twister and Lars Rodriguez from Rocket Power

Enrique, Emmy, and Max from Dragon Tales

Izzy from Jake and The Never Land Pirates

and Carlos Ramon from The Magic School Bus

Voice actors often play characters who are not their same race/ethnicity. Some of the above characters are voiced by non-Latinx white people for example. Since this is so common we then have a selection of animated characters who are not Latinxs, but are voiced by Latinxs…

Asami Sato from The Legend of Korra is voiced by Saychelle Gabriel

Marceline Abadeer from Adventure Time is voiced by Olivia Olson

Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels is voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr

Mr. Crocker and Vicky from Fairly Odd Parents are voiced by Carlos Alazraqui and Grey Griffin respectively

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb is voiced by Olivia Olson

Winslow from Catdog is also voiced by Carlos Alazraqui

as is Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life

…and that is about all the Latinx cartoon characters I can think of at the moment, if anyone else is aware of any more feel free to add on.

I can't stop re-reading your Ransom snippet. More Ransom adventures, pleeeeeeeeease!?!??

“Luffy?! Who’s that?!” Usopp stares, and the little black haired child in Luffy’s arms stares right back with dull crimson eyes. Devil child, devil child!

“Huh? Who’s what?” Luffy parrots, one arm supporting the little boy with demon eyes and the other reaching for a leg of meat.

“Luffy! Where did you get that child?! We’re in the middle of nowhere!” Nami screams, hands going to her hair in frustration. They’re in the middle of the ocean, on their way to Loguetown; where could Luffy have possibly foun-

“Eh? Ransom’s my cousin!” Luffy proclaims, offering a leg of meat to the boy. As if cementing their relation, the three year old tears effortlessly into the food, looking up at Luffy as if he hung the moon and the stars. “Auntie Kit said to take him to Lougetown ‘cause that’s where Rosi will pick him up.”

“Hi!” The boy suddenly cries, waving one pudgy little hand in Nami’s direction and she feels her heart melt instantly. He’s just so cute!

like my videos don’t even do it justice, man. The Pirates of the Caribbean medley had me on the FLOOR. And there’s this GIRL I’M IN LOVE WITH, she’s the cellist, and I mean, Hans wrote this incredible music but this cellist, Tina, is the girl who brings this soundtrack to LIFE, because this soundtrack is cello-heavy. And she’s so talented and she was a powerhouse on stage and i literally am in love with her omg and Hans made sure she was front and centre, spotlight and all

anyways enjoy (i’ll post the finale in a separate one)

Most people know Alan Tudyk from A Knight’s Tale, Firefly, and Dodgeball, but many don’t recognize him for his voice acting talents… such as:

Alistair Krei from Big Hero 6

King Candy from Wreck it Ralph

Sonny from i Robot

Superman from Justice League War (he also does several superhero voices for shows)

Duke of Weselton from Frozen
