A/N: Happy Angst Appreciation Day round three, it’s a day late, but life happens. Reader is Dean’s 17 year old daughter who has a twin brother named Robby.

You stood at the counter of the diner trying to decide if you should go back to the booth where your father, uncle, and twin brother sat, or if you’d have a better time alone at the counter. You’d gone up to ask for more napkins to clean up a spill that Robby, your twin had made. However glancing back you saw that they had waved down the waitress who your dad and brother were both flirting with.

With the roll of your eyes you took a seat at the counter; knowing you’d actually enjoy your meal if you weren’t near your father or brother.

You loved them both dearly and at one point your entire family was so close knit that your absence would have been noticed right away. However as you grew older the bond you shared with your twin and father began to disappear and once you started going on hunts with your dad and uncle, it all but vanished.

At first you told yourself that you were overreacting; that your father was just constantly worried about you, but as time went on you saw how close Robby and your dad still were, yet you remained on the outside.

It was something that your dad and brother both seemed oblivious to. Whenever you’d try to involve yourself in what they were doing they would send you away with some excuse as to why you couldn’t participate with them and soon you just stopped asking.

This never seemed to effect them, but it sure effected you.

Your father and Robby might not have seen what they were doing, but your Uncle Sam sure did. At first he tried to stick up for you, pointing out to Dean all the times it seemed that Robby and him would purposefully leave you out. Dean would deny it and after countless arguments with no change Sam stopped trying. Instead he became the figure in your life you so desperately wanted.

Still, there were times that Sam got sucked into whatever fun Robby and your dad were having; leaving you to be the outsider in your family again.

It was a role you learned to accept and gave up hope that it’d change.

You had been aware of the fact that Harry can close himself off. Plenty of people warned you. It started with Nick. You and Harry had been officially dating for three months when you met Nick. He asked you if he had been acting strange around you at all, and when you said no, he warned you that at certain times in his life, he can become closed off. You didn’t think much of his warning, just that he didn’t want you getting hurt.

About two months after that incident, Harry introduced you to Gemma. You both immediately hit it off and went out to lunch by yourselves. She asked you the same question as Nick, had he been acting strange around you yet, had he been avoiding you at all. When you said no again, Gemma explained in more detail. Apparently Harry had a history of closing himself off to girlfriends and they never found out the reason why. Just one day everything would be great, then the next, the relationship would be over. You may have not been dating Harry for that long, but you couldn’t imagine him acting like that.

But of course, Gemma and Nick turned out to be correct.

Harry Potter in Concert

Okay so my city’s local symphony does this thing

Basically they play a movie without the music and the symphony plays the music live along with the movie

And the movie they’re doing now is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and I just saw it tonight and it was A W E S O M E

Like it was so good there were times where I forgot the music was live

I mean, I’ve seen this movie like a thousand times but with the live symphony, I felt like I was watching it for the first time

And there were some people that came in cosplay (there was one guy cosplaying as Quirrell)

And the lady I was sitting next to had never seen the movie and had only vaguely heard of the franchise through her grandkids (she told me all this while we got to talking during intermission) and I guess she had no idea there were seven more movies and seven books and long story short, I got a 60+ woman into HP for the first time.

Ugh guys it was SO GOOD now I want to see them do all the movies live.

(And apparently next month they’re doing Star Trek Into Darkness live so I’m gonna try to get tickets to that)

Weepy

A little something short & sweet from my list of prompts & requests I have for the next little while. Enjoy!

***

You were a crier.

Harry had known that ever since you watched a sappy movie together the first week of your relationship and you cried at the happy ending. It was something that he always found endearing and that he loved, and he loved being the one to kiss your tears away when they somehow appeared.

You and Harry were enjoying a quiet night in when it happened. He’d been so busy in the studio lately that he rarely had time to just sit and enjoy your company, so tonight he’d made a big deal of making that time for you. You appreciated it, and even though he gave you the option of doing whatever you wanted, both of you were pleased with the choice to stay in.

You were snuggled under a blanket on the couch—you were on opposite ends, both of your backs leaning against the armrests. You both had a book in your hand. Even though you were reading, every so often you would look up at him and catch him glancing at you in return, which would cause you to smile and look down immediately. It’d been months since you’d started dating, and he could still make you blush just like that.

You were about halfway through your book when it happened.

“Babe? Wha’s wrong?”

Sniffle.

“Nothing.”

“S’not nothing, c’mon, (Y/N). Wha’s going on?” You heard the concern in your boyfriend’s voice, and as the tears streamed down your cheeks you forced yourself not to look at him because it you looked at him, you wouldn’t be able to collect yourself.

“I’m ok-kay, I promise I’m okay,” You began to ramble through sniffles and little hiccups, which caused him to reach and put his book down on the coffee table.

“C’mon, beautiful, talk t’me,” he insisted. With a soft huff, still not meeting his gaze, you finally gave in.

“It’s just that…well, my favorite character died,” you sniffled softly, your voice quiet and a bit timid as you admitted the reason for your sudden onslaught of tears. As soon as you said the words you closed the book and hugged it to your chest, brows furrowed and your lip in a small pout.

“You had me scared for a moment there, you goose…” Harry exhaled with relief, shaking his head with a small smile on his lips. His heart swelled at the fact that you were crying over something like that—it only proved how big your heart was, and he loved you all the more for it.

“I’m sorry, I know it’s stupid. I just—”

“Shh, I promise s’not,” he reassured you, nudging your calf with his toe in an attempt to make you smile. “Jus’ don’t like seeing my girl upset like this. Wha’ can I do to make it better?”

You simply replied with yet another huff and pout, unwilling to look at him. You were mourning the death of your character—for fuck sakes, this world was real to you if you had anything to say about it and this was just not okay. You had a few choice words to say about it and the fact that this little piece of something you loved would no longer exist in this fabric of the universe really got to you.

“What’re you doing?” You asked as you watched your boyfriend sit up and crawl towards you. He grabbed ahold of your legs from overtop of the blanket and outstretched them so he could get better access to your frame. You then squealed softly as you felt his hands at your sides, tickling lightly while his lips traveled up your stomach in chaste kisses.

“I’m cheerin’ up my weepy girlfriend,” he explained, pressing several smooches to your neck which made you exhale a soft giggle as you squirmed underneath him.

“I am not weepy!” You protested, setting your book on the carpet beside the couch and pressing your hands to his shoulders in an attempt to get him off of you, though it was only half-hearted at most.

“Yes you are. You’re the weepiest most precious thing I’ve ever seen,” he whispered against your cheek. There was a moment of silence before you felt a burst of a tickling sensation against your skin in the form of a raspberry that Harry was blowing against your features.

“Harry!” You squealed, now laughing as you squirmed beneath him even more. You poked his sides in return which caused him to jump a bit, but he retaliated by holding onto your wrists and pinning them down against your sides whilst his lips continued their assault on your features.

“You,” he started, pausing for a kiss against your chin. “are beautiful,” Kiss. “and kind, and compassionate,” Kiss. “and you have the biggest heart tha’ I’ve ever seen, an’ that’s why I love you, precious.”

You gave into his kisses and just grinned as he spoke, exhaling the last of your tears in the form of a sigh and playfully tangling your legs with his to keep him close.

“I love you,” you replied as you lifted your head to steal another quick kiss from his lips with an exaggerated smooch.

“I swear, the only downside to you s’that I have to buy so many tissues.”

You delivered a swift kick to his shin, followed by a breathtaking kiss that made you forget all about the tears you’d shed.

do you remember?

Ao3

‘Do you remember our first date?’ Izuku’s soft murmur broke the silence of the night.

Shouto, who was starting to drift off to sleep at the lull of the conversation, blushed crimson on reflex. He always blushed whenever Izuku mentioned dates.

'The official one or the first first one?’ He asked. Because Uraraka and Tsuyu had told them first thing when they started dating for real that it felt like they had been dating for ages, with how many times they did things with just the two of them.

'The official one,’ Izuku replied fondly. It was too dark to see but Shouto was certain Izuku was smiling softly.

'Yeah. Why?’ He answered. Looks like he was not going to sleep early tonight.

'Do you remember the movie we watched?’

'Yes, yes I do.’ It was a special outdoor showing of Jaws. Widescreen on the bank of a lake at the dark of the night. They were taken out to the middle of the lake on a rickety old wooden boat to enjoy the movie. The movie was old, 19070s old, but it was surprisingly engaging. Izuku languidly dipped his arm elbow deep into the lake, not really watching the movie, but watching Shouto watch the movie. His left arm, which was thankfully dry, made an excellent head rest for Shouto.

That would have been a perfect night out if it had been a normal, innocent show.

As it was, there were people swimming around, grabbing arms and legs and scaring people out of their wits as the climax hit.

Shouto didn’t know about that. Neither did Izuku.

When the scene with the shark dragging itself up the half-submerged boat rolled around, Izuku let loose a terrified scream. Shouto, already on edge, was startled enough to set himself on fire and burn the wooden plank underneath him.

Izuku jumped onto him and clutched at his neck, face bleached white in fear.

Their combined weight on one side of the boat sent them both toppling over into the dark water.

'You climbed onto my head and refused to climb down while I swam us back to shore.’ Shouto deadpanned, looking at the luminous stars and galaxy painted on the ceiling. Luckily it was a warm night so he had hardly any difficulty guiding himself and Izuku the deadweight to the shore.

Izuku sputtered near his head, rustling about in the blanket.

'I did not!’ He protested indignantly.

'And you were convinced that there were sharks. In a sealed off fresh water lake. One hundred kilometre inland.’

'There are fresh water sharks!’

'Not native to Japan.’

Izuku huffed in annoyance as he had no comeback for that.

'Well, at least I don’t fall asleep in an IKEA wardrobe.’ He steered the conversation in a completely different direction. Shouto didn’t need to turn around to see how madly Izuku’s eyes were twinkling.

They had agreed to never talk about that again.

‘We had an agreement.’ Shouto reminded, a bit peeved but mostly embarrassed.

There was a reason why they never mentioned that.

Dripping wet and soaked to the bones, they left the movie unfinished to hunt for new clothes. The nearest store they could get clothes from was a thrift shop, which had them some rather interesting choices.

Within five minutes, Shouto picked a white polo shirt and a pair of surprisingly comfortable black jeans. Not much different from his initial clothes.

Izuku, on the other hand…

His eyes literally lit up when Shouto drove them into the parking lot of the shop and he was out before Shouto even released his own seatbelt. It took him nearly ten minutes to locate Izuku, standing in front of a bookshelf, head bent a 90 degree to look at the title on the back of the books. Water made a pool at his feet. He looked so much like a downed rat, hair plastered to his head, clothes stuck onto his lean muscular frame. Shouto was probably not much better but it was so endearing to see Izuku like this. He had to physically drag Izuku away from the books to search for clothes.

(He made a mental note to have one of the biggest bookshelves and most comfortable reading nooks installed when they moved into a bigger apartment. If his room was smaller because of that, then so be it; as long as he could see Izuku’s dopey smile all the time, any sacrifice was worth it.)

Izuku was too distracted to pick his own clothes so Shouto had to do it. And he did it well. Izuku offered no objection whatsoever, still too distracted, so Shouto believed it was a job well-done.

His boyfriend only paid attention to what he was wearing when they were driving away from the thrift shop.

‘Shouto, what am I wearing? Why am I wearing All Might merch? Oh my god I’m not 10 anymore! Wait, why are we at IKEA? What are we doing at IKEA?’ His voice was an octave higher than it had been in the beginning, face flushing crimson.

‘I am hungry.’ I want to check out the bookshelves.

‘We can eat somewhere else,’ Izuku nearly begged.

‘They’re too far,’ Shouto said. ‘I’ll be quick.’

‘Can I just stay in the car?’ Izuku changed tactic when begging didn’t work.

Shouto merely shook his head.

He didn’t understand. They wore each other’s merch all the time. An All Might hood T-shirt and matching pants were not as outrageous as Izuku made them to be. And how could his boyfriend not see how cute he was in those? The yellow things sticking out from the hood would be absolutely adorable if Izuku decided to pull the hood up.

‘I have an image to uphold!’ Izuku whispered into his ears scandalously, trying in vain to hide behind Shouto as they walked to the restaurant section of IKEA.

‘There are few people around. They won’t pay attention,’ He said while prying Izuku’s hand away from his shirt so he could take it in his own hand. ‘You look cute in them.’

Shouto would never get bored of watching Izuku’s face flame up. So, he pushed the hood over Izuku’s face and pressed a soft kiss on his covered head. Izuku’s hand felt hot in his hold but he didn’t try to push the hood down so Shouto took that as a win.

He left Izuku alone for a few minutes at the restaurant with the pretense of looking for doormat since theirs showed wear of time while in reality, he meandered over to the bookshelf section.

Then he got distracted and lost track of time.

He found an interesting wardrobe. Wooden, tall, mystical. Kind of like the one in Narnia movie.

The inside was equally Narnia-inspired with demo woollen sweeping-the-floor coats and off white fluffy carpet. It was also big enough for him to sit comfortably. A little bit too comfy as he felt his eyes start to droop and he lost the fight against sleep.

When he woke up again, it was to Izuku’s half-panic, half-dying-of-laughter face.

‘I almost called for a hero agency before I realised I was a hero. And I did a spy move to get away from the security guy while running around searching for you. We actually spent a night in IKEA. I was having a panic attack and you were sleeping away in a wardrobe!’ Izuku howled uncontrollaby, shaking so badly the bed shook with him.

Shouto endured the embarrassment as Izuku laughed himself to a coughing fit. He half-heartedly pounded on Izuku’s back to ease it.

‘I will not mention Jaws night again if you never bring up IKEA wardrobe in the future,’ Shouto bargained.

‘Deal,’ Izuku agreed easily, shaking his hand once before going back to giggling.

What a load of dung. They both knew they would bring those up again at any given chance.

They lapsed back into silence, broken only by Izuku’s intermittent snorts. The luminous stars on the ceiling shone brightly, almost heavenly in the absolute darkness of their room.

‘Do you remember the time we danced in the rain?’ Izuku gently snuggled up to his side, whispering into his ear.

‘Of course.’ How could he not? It was the first time he ever felt so alive. He hadn’t smiled and laughed so much since ever.

A visit to cat island. Sun shower. Before Shouto could run to the eaves of a nearby house, Izuku yanked at their joined hand and swung him around.

It was not much of a dance since they were just doing whatever moves they felt like doing. Moonwalk, robot, tap-dancing, arm-waving. At one point, they held hands and swung themselves in circles, until they both could not stand up straight. Izuku straight up lay flat back on the middle of the road. Shouto leant onto the lamp pole a tad too far.

Luckily for them, there was no one watching, only a band of ten or so cats all huddling together on the porch of a house, eyeing them attentively.

Which somehow reminded him of something completely unrelated.

‘Do you remember when you proposed?’ Shouto turned the silver band on his left hand around.

‘How can I forget?’ Izuku chuckled. ‘Our moms are our best fans.’

‘Your mom said, what, ‘there are two beautiful engagement rings in your bedroom, Izuku. Do you mind if I show them to Shouto?’’

‘Exactly that. And I almost choked to death.’ Izuku laughed. ‘I bet your mom planned that too. She kept eyeing my mom with a smile throughout dinner.’

‘You went so red that a ripe tomato cannot be any redder.’ Shouto recalled fondly.

‘As if you were any better.’ Izuku placed his head on his chest to stick his tongue out at him.

‘You popped the question right then and there.’

‘And you said yes.’ Izuku dragged his arm across Shouto’s chest to stare at the ring on his left hand. Shouto pulled his arm out from under the blanket and placed his left hand next to Izuku’s. ‘Best day of my life.’ Izuku intertwined their fingers and kissed them gently.

Shouto ran his right hand through Izuku’s fluffy hair rhythmically. He felt Izuku’s breath deepened.

‘We should sleep. There’s a big day ahead of us.’

‘Uhm, good night Shouto. I love you.’

‘Good night Izuku. I love you too.’

I was currently four wine glasses deep sitting in one of the fanciest restaurants I’ve ever been to. In fact, I hate to admit it, but I was enjoying it.

Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot Embrace at WONDER WOMAN Red Carpet
Two Wonder Women, one blue carpet.

Two is better than one!

Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter joined forces at the Wonder Woman premiere, held at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday. Upon seeing each other, the two beauties embraced and posed for the cameras.

Gadot stunned in a red Givenchy gown, while Carter looked sophisticated and chic in a black pant suit.

Carter, 65, is one of the original actresses to take on the role of the DC Comics heroine, starring in the TV series Wonder Woman from 1975 to 1979. Earlier in the day, she wrote on Facebook about how thrilled she was to reunite with Gadot and the film’s director, Patty Jenkins.

“I’m in L.A., so excited to be attending the premiere of the new Wonder Woman movie, directed by my friend, Patty Jenkins, and starring the beautiful Gal Gadot,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to see that beloved character on the big screen where she belongs. I know it will be great!”

ET caught up with Gadot at the red carpet premiere where she gushed about Carter.

“I just love her very much so,” she told ET’s Nischelle Turner. “She is such a special women and a unique person and it’s always great to see her especially tonight where she’s going to see the movie for the first time. And my heart is going crazy."

Carter shared the same sentiments.

"I am the bearer of the torch and now I’m passing it forward to Gal and to Patty,” she told ET. “I spoke with Patty early on and I couldn’t wait to meet Gal. The three of us share some sisterhood by living and breathing this character."

When asked how she felt about watching the film for the first time, Carter admitted she was nervous.

"I can’t breathe. I am so excited,” she said. “I really want you all to embrace this. This is another way to look at her. It doesn’t mean to abandon me or abandon the way that I had her, the way that I played her. This is just another way to look at Wonder Woman. So here we go!”

Touch(M)

Requested by @wolffoggirl I suck at figuring out what songs are about, but I hope you like it. (:

Based on the song “Touch” by Little Mix

You and I and nobody else.

Nights when you and Namjoon got the dorm to yourselves were the best. They were rare, but still the best. Some nights it was just you and him enjoying the quietness and watching movies, some were you and him talking about any and everything, but tonight was for alone time for some sexy time.

Feeling things that I never felt.

When you were with Namjoon it felt like everything going wrong in your life at the moment was going to be okay. He never judged you for anything you’ve ever done and always supported you on anything you wanted to do. You’ve never felt so connected to any of your other partners in the past.

I feel like for the first time I am not faking.

Namjoon has given you nothing but love the whole time you’ve been together. You never felt the need to try to change yourself for him and he’s never asked you to. Which is why tonight you’re going to give yourself to him. No, he’s not taking your virginity, but you’ve been waiting because in the past they just wanted sex.

Baby Tim - Part 1

Part one of my deaged Tim fic. Let me know if you want to see anything specific from this!

—————————————————————————————————-

Jason had received a distress signal from Batman, who had been fighting against some magical being who was terrorizing the people of Gotham.

“Hood, I need you down at the docks now”

Jason growled, “Though Nightwing and Red Robin were already there”

“They are, but something … happened to Red Robin”

Jason froze and immediately turned to grapple his way across the city. He no longer hated Tim, he had even started to enjoy they third Robins company.

“I’m on my way, B. ETA 5 minutes”

There was no reply, but by the time Jason arrived the fight was over. The man who had been causing all of the problems had been restrained and his magical book, where his power stemmed from, had been taken away.

“You missed all the fun, Littlewing” Dick called

But Jason wasn’t paying attention to Dick, or even to the wizard, his eyes were focused on Bruce, or more accurately the small squirming bundle that he was holding.

“Is that …” Jason whispered

“Yes, this is Red Robin. He was hit with one of the spells from the book”

Tim couldn’t have been more than two, he looked so small, dwarfed by his costume and Bruce’s large size. Suddenly big blue eyes opened and looked right at Jason, “Jay! Jay!” the toddler lunged out of Bruce’s arms and into Jason’s.

“He knows who we are?” Jason looked at Bruce as Tim snuggled into his armored chest, babbling quietly to the older man.

“You are surprisingly good with kids, Jason” Dick said, walking to stand beside him. He tried to take Tim from Jason but as soon as Dick touched him Tim started to cry. Tim gripped Jason’s leather jacket, letting out high pitched wails, “nononononon” he sobbed.

Jason bounced the baby gently in his arms, using one hand to cup the back of Tim’s head and tuck him into Jason’s neck, “Shh, shh, Timmy, it’s okay, you can stay with me if that’s what you want” Jason continues bounce Tim gently as he glared at Dick, “Leave him alone right now Dickie, he might go to you in a bit, but not right now” suddenly Jason smiles, “I guess we know who’s the favorite big brother now huh Bluebird?”

Dick pouts and goes over to where Damian is standing with the unconscious wizard. Dick wraps his arms around Damian and pouts at where his other two brothers are, “Don’t be insulted, Grayson. Drakes tastes have always been subpar”

“Don’t make fun of Tim when he can’t defend himself, Dami”

“We need to go back to the cave, see if we can turn Red Robin back into his adult self”

Jason just snorts, “The kids isn’t even an adult yet, he’s only 17”

Bruce sighs, “Fine then, we will turn him back into his usual teenage self”

Jason glanced down at the toddler, who had fallen asleep against his shoulder. “We can run tests tonight, to make sure that he is healthy, but the cure can wait until tomorrow, the poor kid is exhausted”

At first Bruce was against it, but seeing one of his sons looks so young and innocent made his cave, the baby really did need to sleep.

-

Once everyone gets back to the cave, Dick and Damian hit the showers and head up to the manor to sleep and Jason carefully puts Tim in a playpen that Alfred had brought down to the cave for when Bruce did the scans. Tim didn’t even stir all through the scans and tests. However as soon as Jason says that he is about to leave, Tim scrambles up in the playpen and starts yelling, “Jay! Jay no go! Jay stay!”

Bruce looked incredulously over at the two year old, “It looks like you are staying the night”

Jason snorts, “No way in hell am I staying here”

Bruce stiffens, “Why not?”

“No way in hell am I sleeping in my armor. I’m going home”

Tim’s screaming just got even louder when Jason begins to make his way over to his bike. Jason pauses, waiting to see if Bruce will go to Tim. Tim continues to cry for another five minutes. As each minute passes Jason grows more tense. Eventually it seems like Tim just gives up and his cries turn into whimpers as he lays back down, “Jay. Jay … help Jay” he whispers.

Jason can’t take it anymore, “God fucking damn it Bruce! Did you not hear him crying?!”

Bruce barely glances up from the computer, “He didn’t need anything, and he was perfectly fine”

“Perfectly fine, right, when I child is screaming it means that they are perfectly fucking fine!!”

Jason scoops Tim up from out of the bed, “I’m here Timmy, I’m here. I think” Jason says glaring at Bruce, “that you should come with me tonight”

Tim sniffles and grips Jason’s jacket, “Go with you, Jay.”

“I’m so sorry that I tries to leave, that I thought Bruce could be trusted to take care of you”

“I do believe, Master Jason, that it would be best for you to take Master Tim with you. I have already packed a spare playpen, toys, blankets, diapers, cloths and a car seat in one of Master Bruce’s cars.”

“You are taking his side on this, Alfred?”

“Indeed I am, Master Bruce, you are unfortunately not qualified to care for someone as young as Master Tim currently is”

“And Jason is?!”

“Jason seems to be more adequate in responding to Master Tim’s needs they you have displayed” Alfred said shortly, “I expect you to bring Master Tim back to the manor this weekend, Master Jason”

“Sure Alfie, I think Timmy and I can do that, huh baby?”

“Yeah, go night-night now Jay” murmured a sleepy Tim

Jason kissed the top of Tim’s head gently. He was surprised at just how fast he had grown attached to this version of his little brother. “Sure, go to sleep Timmy, we are gonna go home now”

Tim nodded and fell back asleep before Jason was even back in the manor. He didn’t stir when he was put in the car, when Jason murmured softly to Alfred about a few childcare questions, or even when Jason took him out of the car seat and brought him up to the apartment. Jason laid Tim down on the bed, building a wall of pillow up so he wouldn’t fall off the bed. Jason went to take a quick shower, not wanting to let Tim out of his sight for very long. Once he was done he laid down beside Tim, on his side, watching the toddler sleep. The soft sounds of Tim sleeping soon lulled Jason into a peaceful slumber.

-

Being woken up at 8:00 AM by an excited two year old was not how Jason wanted to wake up, especially not that early. Jason had only gotten about 4 hours of sleep before he was woken up

“Jay! Hungry!” Tim yelled, gently smacking Jason’s face with one little hand.

“Alright Timmy, alright. Let’s get you changed and then we can eat breakfast”

Thankfully the day went by quickly, looking after an excited 2 year old was a lot of work but seeing that little grin and hearing those high pitched giggles made it all worth it. However around dinner time Jason realized that he wouldn’t be able to go on patrol while looking after a toddler. Tim couldn’t be left alone for five minutes, much less several hours. What if he woke up in the middle of the night and needed someone.

Jason rested his head on his hand and watched Tim finish eating his spaghetti, “I’m gonna have to find you a sitter, aren’t I Timmy?”

The toddler didn’t answer, too engrossed in his food to pay Jason much attention. Jason pulls out his phone and snaps quick picture, he had been taking pictures of Tim and himself all day, sending them to Alfred. Jason pulls up his search engine and begins to look up overnight childcare services. Surprisingly he finds one not very far from his apartment, it opens at 7:00 PM and keeps kids until 7:00 AM at the latest. That is perfect for what Jason has planned. He will be able to drop Tim off at about 10:00 PM and pick him up at 7:00 AM. Jason would be able to patrol and he would have the opportunity to get a few hours of sleep. Hopefully Tim wouldn’t put up too much of a fuss at being dropped off, hopefully he would sleep almost the whole time. Jason makes up his mind to bring Tim to the daycare tonight, not to leave him, but just so he can meet the childcare personnel, look at their qualifications, do back ground round checks, and see how they interact with the kids.

-

The first thing that Jason notices about this place is that it is huge. There are several rooms for children of different ages. Separate rooms for kids who wanted to sleep, watch movies, and play. The first person that Jason was introduced to was a woman named Y/N. She was the one who watched over the children who were Tim’s age. She was funny and immediately focused her attention on making Tim feel comfortable, on getting him to play with the toys and the other kids. Once he was distracted she walked up to Jason and stood next to him while he watched Tim play.

“He is a very sweet boy” she murmured

“Yeah he is, he took to you pretty quickly”

Y/N grins, “I have to be really good with kids if I want to be good at my job. I love kids, don’t have any of my own yet, but at least when I do, I will know how to take care of them”

Tim came running over with a Batman toy, running right up to Jason and showing it to him, “Look Jay! Look”

“I see! That’s a very nice toy”

Tim shyly turns to Y/N and holds out the toy. She is quick to kneel down so she is eye level with the toddler, “Do you like Batman, pumpkin?”

Tim nods shyly. She smiles and pulls out a keychain, “My favorite is the Robins”

Tim immediately lights up, babbling about how cool Robin is, and just talking. Suddenly he raises his arms at her, “Up, Y/N, up!”

She smiles softly and leans down scooping up Tim. As Jason watches he can’t help but think how good they look together, how perfectly this stranger would fit into their lives.

As he hears Tim let out a high pitched giggle and hug Y/N Jason makes up his mind. This will definitely be the place where he drops Tim off, and hopefully he will get to know Y/N better. Maybe Jason will be able to build his own family, maybe he will be able to find happiness.

Summary: You and Jb are best friends but you have a crush on Mark. Mark gets jealous of you two.

~

The darkness of the night was only broken by the yellow street lights. If you squinted hard enough, you could make out a few lonely stars in the sky.

The only sound was your and Jaebums feet, hitting the pavement.

“Why don’t you just tell him?”

You two were walking back to the dorms, grocery bags in hand. Somehow you guys were the ones nominated to go get midnight snacks.

“How? I can’t just walk up to him and randomly be like, ‘Hey Mark! That’s a nice shirt! By the way, I’m in love with you!’ He’d think I was crazy.”

The only store open this late at night was about thirty five minutes away. You didn’t mind though. Walking always seemed to calm you down, get your thoughts together. Especially at night, when the rest of the world was sleeping.

“I don’t know. If he doesn’t already think you’re crazy, I think you’ve got a shot,” he said, dogging your blow to the back of his head.

Their apartment building was coming into view, ending your 'best friend confession time’.

“I’ll race you,” Jb blurted out.

“We’re less than a mile away.”

“Exactly. That means it’ll be easier for you.”

Your eyes rolled back but you could feel yourself giving in. You always did when it came to Jb. He’s been your best friend since middle school. You were practically inseparable.

“What do I get if I win?” You asked.

“I’ll give you that jacket that you always steal from me.”

Your eyes widened with excitement.

“Oh, it’s on.”

“But,” he sang, “if I win, you confess your love to Mark.”

“What? No I-”

“Come on. Live a little.”

A long sigh passed your lips, but again, you agreed.

You stood right next to each other, getting in your running stances.

“Ready,” Jb started, “Set… GO!”

Your legs moved so fast, you could barley see your surroundings, everything turning into a blur. It didn’t even feel like you were running, more like flying.

The grocery bags were creating an extra obstacle, swinging around in your grasp.

You could see Jb a tiny bit behind you. You picked up your pace, your hair blowing around your face.

When you were in front of the apartments, you made a sharp turn, hitting their front door.

You won.

You bent in half, hands on your knees. You were breathing hard and when you looked up, you could see Jb doing the same. He let out a frustrated yell, which only caused you to laugh.

____

The maknaes dispersed the snacks as everyone else crowded around the tv.

Ever since you met the boys, this had been your Friday night ritual.

You would all gather in the living room with a shit ton of snacks and watch as many movies as you could before falling asleep. These nights always poured over into the morning, leaving you all exhausted. Whoever fell asleep first had to buy everyone else coffee in the morning. It was the rules.

Tonight, you guys were watching some light hearted comedy. You were sat on the floor, your head in Jaebums lap.

The movie was only half over and you could already feel your eyes drifting shut. You would let them close for a few minutes before snapping them open and pretending that you had been awake the whole time.

“Just go to bed,” Jb mumbled.

You tried to respond but it came out as muffled groans.

“Y/n is buying coffee tomorrow,” he announced, picking you up bridal style and taking you into his room.

You caught Marks eye on the way, giving him a small smile, which he didn’t return.

Once you were in Jaebums room, he laid you on the bed, walked over to his closet and pulled out the jacket that you had won. He threw it in your direction, annoyed that he had lost the race.

You smiled to yourself, yelling a goodnight to him as he turned out the lights and went back to the living room, where he would stay up all night with the rest of the boys.

You quickly took your shirt off, replacing it with your new jacket.

____

Sunlight peeped through the blinds, lighting up the small bedroom. Morning birds chirping were drowned out by the chatter of seven boys.

You sat up, rubbing your eyes and running a hand through your hair.

You swung your legs over the edge of the bed, slowly standing up. You were never really a morning person, but there was no way you would be able to fall back asleep with the amount of noise coming from the rest of the house. Besides, you owed them all coffee and you knew they would be cranky if you gave it to them at noon.

Walking out of the room, you saw Mark walking down the hallway, in your direction.

“Hey, good morning,” you greeted, giving him a smile.

He took one look at you and walked straight past.

“Do you want to go get coffee with me?” You asked, following him.

He turned abruptly into a bedroom and slammed the door in your face. Before it had closed all the way, you had heard him mutter: “Why don’t you go ask Jb?”

You stood in front of the door, confused and hurt. Why was he acting like this.

Usually Mark was always super sweet and playful with you. So far, every time you had to go get coffee, he would ask to tag along.

You lifted your hand to the door, ready to knock, but decided against it. If he was going to act this way, then that was his fault, not yours. Especially considering you didn’t do anything.

You made your way to the kitchen, where you found the rest of the boys. They were sitting at the kitchen table, talking, half of them with their heads down.

“Long night?” You asked.

They all groaned in unison. You chuckled to yourself and walked up to Jb, who was half asleep on the kitchen table.

“Come get coffee with me.”

“Get coffee by yourself,” he replied, turning his head away from you.

“Please. I’ll buy you breakfast too?”

“Mmmm go ask Mark”

“I did. And he ignored me.”

He sighed, standing up.

“Fine. But your buying me a blueberry muffin.”

“Deal.”

____

The whole way to the coffee shop, you didn’t stop talking. The whole way back, was the same.

Jb was carrying everything so that you could use your hands while you talked. By the time you guys got back, he was even more tired than he was when you left.

When you entered the apartment, everyone was exactly where they were before. Jb set the drinks in the middle of the table, letting everybody grab theirs.

The cup holder was empty except two drinks. Yours and Marks.

You took yours out and set it on the counter. Grabbing Marks, you walked over to his bedroom. You didn’t spend your money on this coffee for him to not drink it.

You knocked on the door and a few seconds later, it opened and Mark was standing in front of you.

“I got you coffee.” You held it out to him, but he just stared at you.

“Here,” you tried again.

He tried to walk past you, but you blocked him.

In his efforts to get past, he accidentally knocked over the coffee, spilling it all over you. Luckily it was iced and not hot.

The cold beverage dropped from your clothing, ice down your shirt, in your bra.

You both stood still for what felt like years.

“I’m sorry,” he finally spoke.

You looked at him with a look that could kill.

“Come here,” he grabbed your arm and pulled you into his room.

“What are you doing?”

“Giving you clothes considering I just spilled coffee all over the ones you’re wearing.”

You didn’t say anything, just watched as he shuffled through his drawers to find something for you.

When he did, he tried handing them to you, but you didn’t take them.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” You blurted out.

“Wh-”

“You’ve been acting like an ass all morning and now all of a sudden you care?”

“Y/n.”

“Just tell me why. What did I do to make you mad?”

He lowered his head, a hand coming to run through his hair.

“Nothing. You didn’t do anything.”

You let out a humorless laugh.

“Then why have you been acting like this?”

When he didn’t answer, you turned around to leave.

“Wait,” he called, his voice soft. You slowly turned back around. He lifted his head, looking you straight in the eyes.

“I like you. I have for a while. But, you always hang out with Jb instead of me and this morning you were wearing his jacket and I just-”

“You were jealous.”

He slowly nodded.

This time you laughed and it was genuine. The Mark Tuan was jealous.

In your fits of laughter, you noticed Marks face become pained.

You walked up to him, grabbed the back of his head, and kissed him.

His hands found your waist, which was still covered in coffee, but he didn’t seem to care.

“I like you too,” you hummed when your lips separated.

This time, both of you laughed, together.

Some nights were easier than others.

Most of the time, you could shove the things you’d done in the Army to the back of your mind. You could rid yourself of the screams, the pain, the constant rush-and-waiting.

But on nights like tonight, those thoughts were taunting you just on the edge of your conscious mind.

Nothing seemed to help. You tried to watch movies and lose yourself in a different world, but not even your favorites were helping. Reading took too much concentration and you’d give up before getting through the first page. You went down to Tony’s lab to tinker with his toys, but his Iron Man suits on display caused flashbacks to the last time Loki was around, and you rushed out of there, forgetting the lights behind you.

You sighed as you made your way up the stairs. Was anything going to help?

When you had made it back to the common room, you found Bucky flipping through channels and smiled. At least you wouldn’t be alone.

“Hey, soldier.” You say quietly, letting him know that you’re present. You knew better than to sneak up on soldiers. You’d hurt Sam once because he snuck up on you unannounced. You walked around the back of the couch to sit by Bucky.

He turns towards the sound of your voice and smiles at you. “Hey, yourself,” He takes in your features as you fall on the couch next to him, noticing the dark circles under your eyes and how listless they are. He knows it’s been at least twenty four hours since you’ve slept. “Wanna talk about it?”

You know what he means. He doesn’t need to explain that you’re about to head into that thousand-yard stare. You know that he knows when you’ve been burdened with the things you’ve done. You pull a corner of your lips up in a half smile. “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.”

He smiles at you sadly, and you get it. He hasn’t told Steve nearly half of the things he’s done, and you’re not that close.

But it doesn’t stop you from trying. You’ve been hanging out with Bucky for months, now. He’s the one you’re closest to, besides Sam. You know the difference in his features when he’s woken up from a nightmare versus not. You can even tell the severity of the dream some nights. And if the lines under his eyes tell you anything, it’s that tonight was a particularly rough one. You bump your shoulder into his. “Seriously, Buck. Helping people helps me. Anything I can do?”

He contemplates your offer, but you know he’s determined to keep his memories as the Winter Soldier to himself. He looks down to your hands in your lap, causing a lock of hair to fall in his face. You immediately thread your fingers through his hair and push it behind his ear. Bucky looks back up into your eyes, practically boring into your soul, and it clicks.

He needs physical affection just like you do.

“That,” he says softly, still looking at you with wonder and vulnerability. “Can you just–I don’t know. Play with my hair?”

You smile at him, reassuring and happy. “Of course, dude.” You scoot to the edge of the couch so he has space to lay out. He rests his cheek against your thigh and your hand automatically goes to his dark locks. Your nails scratch against his scalp lightly and a noise of content escapes Bucky.

He’s still flipping through channels as you gently work out knots from his tresses. You can feel his stress melt away the longer you play with his hair. Eventually, your left hand moves to tug at the hair at the nape of his neck, and your right cards through the rest.

You can tell he’s close to sleep by the way he stretches out and rolls to his stomach. He brings his bionic arm up to wrap around your leg, and he rubs his face into your thigh like a pillow. It’s so affectionate, and it makes a lump rise in your throat.

He’s the most pure cinnamon roll. You know what you’ve done in this life, but you can’t begin to imagine the things that Bucky has seen. And he’s still so good. Like he’s trying to make up for what he did as the Winter Soldier. But, he doesn’t. He doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone.

That’s when you decide that you want to protect Bucky Barnes at all costs.

Life Doesn’t Always Turn Out the Way You Plan

I was trying to post this on AO3, because it’s going to be a multi-parter. But AO3 is being grouchy tonight. So the first part will go up here, and get put up over there when the database starts behaving itself again. Then the rest of the chapters will go up over there too.

“While You Were Sleeping” is one of my all-time favorite movies ever. It just doesn’t feel like Christmas unless I’ve watched it at least once. And because I love it so much, I won’t be able to resist slipping verbatim quotes in here and there. So, watch out for those. Also, I know this is a Valentine’s challenge, but this movie is so wrapped up with Christmas for me that I had to set it then.

I’ll be honest - after this chapter, the rest of this so far is pretty much an outline interspersed with scene scraps. I’m hoping to post at least twice a week, but the schedule may be, ummmm, flexible. I’ll still try to get it all done in the month deadline.

That said, enjoy!

Life Doesn’t Always Turn Out the Way You Plan

My dad used to say something to me all the time when I was growing up. He would get this distant look in his eyes and he would tell me, “Iris, baby, life doesn’t always turn out the way you plan.”

l just wish I’d realized at the time he was talking about my life.

Chris Pine Imagine

Can you do one of Chris pine where he’s been away and he hasn’t seen his gf in forever but he makes a surprise visit and there’s a lot of fluff/smut I love your writing btw

“How’s Chris’ new movie going,” you best friend asked as you chilled on your couch.

“Good, really good. He loves it.”

“He’s been gone for a while, hasn’t he? When’s he coming back?”

“Yeah, he’s been gone for 3 months and has nearly three more to go,” you said sadly. “But, we text during the day and he calls or FaceTimes at least every other night. I still miss him like crazy though,” you admitted. Your phone binged and you saw a text from Chris. “Speak of the Devil.”

“What did he say?”

You fought a pinch of sadness when you read the message. “He says production is running late tonight and he won’t be able to talk much tonight. We were going to FaceTime but he says we’ll have to do that tomorrow night.”

******

You walked around in your pajama shorts and tank top, making popcorn and combing through the movies to see what you wanted to watch. Your phone binged and you read the message from Chris, he’d been filming all day and this was the first text he’d been able to send other than his “goodmorning” one. “What are you making for dinner tonight?”

You sent him a picture of the popcorn in the microwave. “Pizza would be better,” he replied back.

“Feel free to order me some then,” you joked back. You set the popcorn down on the living room table but stopped from sitting when you heard the doorbell rang. “Coming.” You walked to the door and opened it large bouquet of flowers covering the face of the person holding it. “Hi?”

“Hello Ma’am, I have a flower delivery for a Y/N Y/L/N.”

“That’s me.”

“I know,” the voice changed to one you hadn’t heard in person in what felt like forever. The flowers dropped to reveal the face of your boyfriend.

“Chris, what are you doing here?”

“Bringing my girlfriend flowers and…pizza,” he picked up a box from somewhere hidden from your view. You sat the flowers down and hugged him tight.

“Are you really here right now,” you fought tears from pooling over your eyes?

“It is,” he smiled and hugged you tighter. “Come on, let’s get inside and put those flowers in a vase.” You held hands and walked inside with him.

Once the flowers were in water and pizza was in plates you grinned at him again. “Ok, what are you doing here, for real?”

“I missed you and convinced the director and producer that it was about time the cast got a break. So it’s just you and me for the next four days.”

“So I get the rest of tonight and four more days with you?”

“You do. Anything you want to do while I’m here? I see you’ve got some movies out, we could watch a movie.”

“We could watch a movie….but I can think of something else I’d rather do first.”

He cocked an eyebrow and smirked, “Oh yeah?”

You grabbed him by the jacket and gave it a little tug, “Oh yeah.”

Worth the Wait- Angelica Schuyler X Reader

a/n: okay so i have not wrote a lot for angelica at all so this became a thing, also i don’t know how i feel about this, might be bad, might not. idk

warnings: alcohol mention, hospital mention, breakup mention, a couple of swear words, send me an ask in case i missed something!

Movie nights with the Schuyler’s and company started off as a spontaneous thing.

The first time it happened, Peggy had just broken up with her boyfriend and her sisters, to cheer her up, invited a ton of people to a movie night.

The nights became less spontaneous and more of a ‘every Friday night we get together, watch shitty movies and talk about our feelings’ sort of thing.

The group eventually whittled down to the Schuyler’s closest friends, including Alexander, Aaron, and you.

Jefferson occasionally joined the group but he didn’t often, mostly due to Alex’s presence.

Tonight was no different.
