just playing with cast member pics

Colin is sneaky...

So Colin Morgan just pulled a Where’s Waldo. Apparently, the dude’s super sneaky at getting in to the Hampstead Theater without being spotted.

My husband and I are in London to see Gloria in a few days, and we decided to go check out the Hampstead Theater early to make sure we knew how to get there and how to pick up our tickets.

We got there a couple of hours before tonight’s showing at 7:30 p.m. And we noticed that there were a few people standing out front of the theater, waiting to grab autographs from the actors. So we decided to stick around for a while and see what there is to see. Because stalking.

We sat down in the theater lobby, grabbed some cookies, and settled in for some people (person) watching. It was amusing to watch the autograph hounds spot one of the actors. They could see people coming long before I could, so it was pretty exciting to watch them get all excited. They’d rummage around in their bag until they found the picture of the right actor, double-check that their Sharpie was working, and then stop the person to ask them.

Oddly enough, the first person to come along was actually Helena Bonham Carter. So random. Apparently, she was just ambling by the theater with two kids in tow. She was wearing this shabby patchwork brown jacket that looked like it could have come straight out of Harry Potter. Just out for a stroll. If the autograph dude hadn’t recognized her, not sure I would have.

The next person to come by was Kae Alexander, who’s one of the cast members in Gloria. She was rocking some headphones and seemed rather surprised that anyone would stop her.

A bit later was Ellie Kendrick, also in Gloria. She signed several autographs, and then someone asked her to take a pic, but she said, “No, I have to get backstage.”

It was getting to be about an hour before the play at that point, and my husband and I thought that Colin was probably already there. We asked one of the autograph dudes if he’d seen Colin already. He said that yes, someone spotted him going around the back.

Apparently, there are 3-4 entrances to the theater, and Colin varies his routes depending on what he sees. He comes up out of the tube and gets the lay of the land. Sometimes he skirts around the autograph people up front, heading instead for the back. And then one day earlier this week, he just put his hat down and walked right through them into the front door and they didn’t even notice.

Our boy is a pro.

Side note: The pic that the dude wanted Colin to sign was some random season 1 promo. I wanted to tell him that he’d be better off with the hotness from season 5. Really, any other pic.

Henry Cavill is so pure.  For National Superhero Day he just posted a pic of himself on instagram in costume and tagged like, literally every cast member of the MCU and the DCEU.

Not to mention that his dog is named Kal, like???  And when he first got the role as Superman for Man of Steel, he literally missed the casting call from Snyder because he was playing World of Warcraft.  I love him.

Okay, so how I’m personally reading everything that’s come out today about Once and a Season 7 is…

You’ve got EW pushing a hopeful narrative with the possibility of some cast leaving by the end of Season 6 with it seemingly likely there’s a Season 7 on the horizon…. Then you’ve got Deadline pushing a doom and gloom narrative that if there’s a 7th season, it’s all gonna be different and sound like that Season 6 wrap up all storylines going on now.

One of these is spinning things a certain way to get hits and I’m thinking it’s Deadline… What better way to drive eyes to your site then make it seem like a popular, fan-base heavy show is ending and/or whatever follows won’t be the same…

EW, all day, kept pushing the ‘good ideas’ for Season 7 narrative - and that’s the article both Jen and Colin retweeted (not far apart from each other, I might add. Jen RTing it is especially noteworthy, I think.). And now suddenly we have an article from a completely different website twisting what was said to sound negative and ‘show ending’ like? With a very click-baity lead in… (this is after nearly every renewal predictor has been saying Once was a good bet for renewal, I’ll add…)

I think ‘panic’ is what Deadline wanted because it’s gonna drive more eyes to their site (anybody else notice how they used a Regina pic for their lead-in image? Not sure if that means anything, I just personally noted it myself). They’re gonna be the one every starts to reference as talk about Once continuing (or not) amps up. Also, on top of that, Carlyle’s interview from a handful of days ago might be playing some factor here…

We won’t really know for sure until ABC officially announced something, of course. I’m just seeing two narratives being pushed from two difference sources and I also saw which narrative was ‘promoted’ by my two favorite cast members from the show.

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child: Official Cast Photos Released

Harry Potter fans are in for a treat this summer as play Harry Potter And The Cursed Child comes to London’s West End, and the first cast pictures have now been revealed.

Eek - we couldn’t be any more excited.

The stage show will be a continuation of JK Rowling’s popular books as it follows Harry and Ginny’s eldest child, Albus Severus Potter, as he embarks on his first year at Hogwarts, with actor Sam Clemmett thrilled to announce that he’d nabbed the coveted rule of Albus.

Writing on Twitter, Sam shared: “Thrilled to announce I will be playing Albus Severus Potter in @HPPlayLDN :D”.

Poppy Miller was also announced as Ginny Potter and, alongside Jamie Parker as Harry, the trio have posed in full costume for new promotional pics, just one week before the first preview of the play takes place in London.

It was previously revealed that Noma Dumezweni was playing Hermione Granger and Paul Thornley had taken the role of Ron Weasley, with a whopping 56 other members of cast and crew joining them on stage.

The play’s synopsis reads: “While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.

"As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

And, fortunately for those who couldn’t make it to London, the play will also be released in book form on July 31st this summer.

Just wanted to say, a day later, because I’m slow- but if we’re to the point of talking about positivity among the cast we love. I’d like to speak about Michael Beach. Okay, let’s acknowledge that Michael Beach is a cute piece of cupcake, who gives us THE BEST behind the scenes videos and/or pics ever, and always congratulate his fellow cast members, and always acknowledge their amazing work, and just told on twitter that he’s never felt so comfortable among a cast on tv… - and he’s playing a big fat jerk on this show, we all hate Pike, especially after yersterday’s episode. I mean, considering that Pike probably won’t survive season 3 Octavia Blake now, we should at least take the time to talk about that. Let’s all love Michael Beach <3
