just hosting this

concept: team gai cooking show but none of them know how to make a decent meal  so it always ends in disaster and their good ratings is just because everyone thinks its a satire show making fun of the trope

i know you probably feel like you aren't a pro or anything, but do you have any advice for aspiring web comic artists? i feel excited to work on mine and maybe publish it one day, but there are so many sites for hosting them and ways to format your comic it all looks so overwhelming... how did you come to decide where to host your comics? are there certain things you've learned making comics? if you respond thanks so much and i love your story it makes my heart happy. have a good one c:

:O thank you so much!!

it was defs super overwhelming at first…I was like oh man where do I start?? what if I mess it up?? should I do a really short webcomic first that’s less complicated to prep for this one??? how do I set up a blog ahh?? anyway I just decided to host on tumblr for now bc I could do it by myself (and I have no friends who can code my own site for me hgkjd) and I’d seen other ppl doing it with their’s so I figured I’d start here and then submit a query letter to some ~official host sites~ once I get settled and everything. but these things take time~

drawing the first few pages was SO hard and time consuming as I had to get into the swing of drawing actual comic pages which is like 6+ illustrations on one page guh so you gotta find a good method to work fast and make it look good haha. I guess what I’ve learned would be that comics are HARD and they’re gonna be really hard at first if you’re not used to it but it defs gets easier as you go on. also backgrounds are always more detailed than you think they will be so make sure you add enough props and appropriate wear & tear so it looks realistic…that’s the most important thing I’ve learned lol

oh and it’s also good to always have a few pages done in advance!! and try to keep on top of that!! that way if you need to skip a week of work or something you can still keep updating regularly 8) having a schedule and being good at self-motivating is a muuuust

making a webcomic is seriously so fun and so rewarding tho and you will improve at art SO fast with that much practice it’s incredible!! good luck with yours!!

Seb being totally into his daughter's tea parties. Like he gets so excited when she drags him to her little table, with plastic tea cups filled with apple juice, and cookies (made by you) and she even has some of her teddy bears around the table. And Seb just thinking his girl is so adorable, asking if he likes the tea (apple juice) and her just being a wonderful host. You're there too and Seb gives your hand a little squeeze, and you both have a look of pride.

awwwww a little tea party yes, they’d probably do it every time he comes back home

Just watched e news and this host (woman) just said how Taylor's manipulated and calculated and she desperately tries to be relatable and how after last years scandal she can't be seen as authentic and this westbrook video is just another manipulation. And how after this no one will miss her anymore. Like WTF??! All because of congratulations video for a fan???!! Like some people will just hate on her for no real reason.

wtf? that person needs a strong drink and a two hour swedish massage from Pierre. they are wound up far too tightly. this video is a manipulation? i cant even see the basis for that accusation.

Kristen Stewart, who it turns out is an INCREDIBLE Saturday Night Live host, just told Donald Trump off in the most wonderfully gay way

Kristen Stewart handed in THE strongest hosting job on Saturday Night Live for the season — scratch that, for about the last five seasons. In her monologue she addressed those times Donald Trump tweeted about her and then accidentally dropped an f-bomb on live TV in true dangerous queer lady style.

a couple of many pieces i want to draw to show my love of the orbiting human circus (of the air)…if you haven’t started listening yet, season one just finished up recently! it really sings to my heart, i can’t recommend it enough

An observation of Markiplier TV

Emphasis on the observation part because I’ve never really been good with theories. I have a number of things to do today but unfortunately, I watched this video and now I can’t stop thinking about it. Hopefully this’ll quiet my mind and let me function, and who knows? Maybe it’ll help someone out there with their own theories too. :)

So, let’s talk about this scene:

We got one hell of a group here BUT what I’d like to focus on is their seating arrangement and what that could mean, because if there’s anything I’ve learned in videos like this it’s that EVERYTHING is by design. This entire table scene (props to the Editor btw) has so much hidden psychological subtext in it, so while I’m no professional I’ll still do my best to uncover them all.

First off, let’s look at the table: Rectangular with two long ends and two short ones. Pretty normal setting yeah, but is it beneficial to their situation (i.e. finding a way to ‘take control’) where everyone easily agrees? Nope. Because tables like these embody competition and a clear sense of authority, and I love this detail. It means that while they could’ve easily gone for a round table to promote cooperation, they go for this because of course, no one’s going to cooperate that easily.

This setting, however, works better in the business cooperative world, because you got two people (Darkiplier & Wilford) who can control the meeting from both ends of the table and are essentially the people everyone will need to look up to.

Here’s a great detail though: In this kind of setting, the more powerful of the two is usually the one opposite the entrance to the room. This allows him not just a vantage point of whoever comes in and goes, but complete control as well. And as we see where King of the Squirrels pops up:

Which we can easily tell was from the right of the room based on the direction his body and eyes shift to, we can point out where the entrance is and who was right there:

But yeah, in this moment it didn’t seem like Will had control over King’s sudden entrance but let’s face it: he doesn’t care. He already knows that there’s more than one king in that room.

Speaking of, let’s move on to the seating arrangement.

Obviously we got Dark and Will at the ends as the higher ups, but I’d like to talk about Googleplier and The Host.

In medieval times, kings would often have their advisors right at their side at the table. This actually explains the term “right hand man”, because the king would have them close at hand to help him rule, unless of course, he was left-handed. Looking back at Dark’s antics, I have reason to believe that he’s either left-handed or ambidextrous.

Which I guess would make sense, considering that while Ed, Bim, Silver and Dr. Iplier were all concerned about their parts in the video, only Google and The Host were able to keep a level head and not lose sight of their main goal/situation.

Now the last thing I want to talk about is Wilford’s idea for Markiplier TV. I must warn you though because this is going to be a bit of a stretch so stop reading if you’d like BUT… I think he may have been inspired by Anti.

AGAIN, please bear with me. Jack’s mentioned before that Dark and Anti ever meeting each other was very unlikely, which in Dark’s case (being the alter ego that’s been pushed inside the most) could be more than true. However, Wilford makes up for this as he’s the only one not bound by the laws of physics and is, potentially, omnipresent. So it’s possible that he’s aware of Anti (since he was aware of Septiplier after all) and his methods (i.e. using social media to have his fans notice him which then gives him control) BUT, being Wilford, he goes about it in his own roundabout way which is, of course, TELEVISION.

So, yeah, this is all I can come up with. Excluding my attempt in theorizing at the very end I hope this was helpful. Now I’m just hoping that my thoughts on Antisepticeye don’t get too hectic and end up like this long wall of text. Thanks for reading. :)

Person: Why on earth do you fall in love with fictional characters rather that real boys?
  • Jem Carstairs: I can offer you my life, but it is a short life; I can offer you my heart, though I have no idea how many more beats it shall sustain. But I love you enough to hope that you wil not care that I am being selfish in trying to make the rest of my life - whatever length - happy, by spending it with you. I want to be married to you, Tessa. I want it more than I have ever wanted anything else in my life.
  • Augustus Waters: I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.
  • Maxon Schreave: I want everything with you, America. I want the holidays and the birthdays, the busy seasons and lazy weekends. I want peanut butter fingerprints on my desk. I want inside jokes and fights and everything. I want a life with you.
  • Will Herondale: Marry me. Marry me, Tess. Marry me and be Tessa Herondale. Or be Tessa Gray, or be whatever you wish to call yourself, but marry me and stay with me and never leave me, for I cannot bear another day of my life to go by that does not have you in it.
  • Dimitri Belikov: I love you, Roza. I'll always be here for you. I'm not going to let anything happen to you.
  • Ian O'Shea: I held you in my hands, Wanderer, and you were beautiful.
  • Percy Jackson: The world was collapsing, and the only thing that mattered to me was that she was alive.
  • Patch Capriano: I missed you, Angel. Not one day went by that I didn't feel you missing from my life.
  • Ethan Wate: I never loved you any more than I do, right this second. And I'll never love you any less than I do, right this second.
  • Tobias Eaton: I might be in love with you, but I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you.
  • Jace Herondale: I love you, and I will love you until I die and if there’s a life after that, I’ll love you then.
  • Peeta Mellark: My nightmares are usually about losing you.

Oklahoma Rep. wants men to have more say in women’s abortions, says women are just “hosts”

  • The Oklahoma rep behind the state’s most recent abortion bill thinks it’s time men were allowed a little more say in what women do with their bodies — because women are mere “hosts” who don’t always treat their wombs responsibly.
  • “I believe one of the breakdowns in our society is that we have excluded the man out of all of these types of decisions,” Oklahoma Rep. Justin Humphrey told The Intercept.
  • His bill, HB 1441, would require women seeking abortions to first obtain the father’s written permission.
  • “I understand that they feel like that is their body,” he continued, referring to women. “I feel like it is a separate — what I call them is, is you’re a ‘host.’ And you know when you enter into a relationship you’re going to be that host and so, you know, if you pre-know that then take all precautions and don’t get pregnant.” Read more (2/14/17 8:00 AM)

The Host, Dark, and Google all have their hands on the table.

At this moment, they’re taking what Wilford is saying MUCH more seriously than the others.

The Host is literary keeping to himself with closed arms (though they’re not on his lap), and he listens and talks.

Google gestures once or twice, but also keeps them together like Dark, and still has them in front of him.

Dark… His hands are clenched the entire time. But you know what else happens?

His shell is cracking. Something we’ve seen in ADWM, and Mark himself said it was because Dark’s image was shattering. Spurts of rage breaking his usual calm nature.

In this group shot, it’s the FIRST time we see Dark, and to see the ‘cracked shell’ again is not a “hey, we know this character because he did the same thing the last time we saw him!”

No. I think he’s furious at Wilford’s little ‘idea’.

But he needs to hide it- and being a manipulator, he does. Stating he appreciates Wilford’s efforts, and even says he respects him, but they need to get back to the task at hand; their ‘endeavor’.

To take back control.
