Hamilton has been on Broadway for about a week now.
You never saw the Richard Rodgers so hectic and busy as this before. You had stepped into the backstage like normal and was greeted with actors and stagehands bustling to and fro, getting stuff done. You would help out with fetching costumes or arranging props for the opening number. You’d even practice with the ensemble. You had the dance numbers for My Shot, Yorktown, The Schuyler Sisters, and Helpless memorized by heart. You showed Lin and the cast a few times and Lin promised to get you a place in the ensemble in the future. Yeah, he thought you were good enough for Broadway, even though you were sixteen.
Lin had told you to come to the theater as soon as you finished with your classes for the day. So, once you logged off for the day, you got into an Uber and went to the Richard Rodgers. You brought your homework with you just in case you needed something to do in between shows. You were used to sitting in Lin’s dressing room for hours while the show went on, usually bored as hell. Kail would sometimes come in and smuggle you some doughnuts and a soda, looking after you like a loving uncle, which is why you called him ‘Uncle Kail’. During the intermission, You’d hang out with Renée, Phillipa, and Jasmine in their dressing room while Renée and Phillipa touched up their makeup and changed dresses and while Jasmine transformed from Peggy to Maria. You’d help her with her hair and it would earn you a red kiss mark on your cheek. It kinda sucks since you’re a closet lesbian and haven’t come out yet. Oh well, take it one step at a time, (Y/N).
A noodle I made two days ago. Was gonna submit it, but I was kinda on a social media fast, so I decided to wait until I’d finished that. I made this out of a color palette (at least originally before I started messing it) that I’d made accidentally when trying to paint bucket over a colourpod.com palette with a palette from one of those dA color scheme meme things (scheme meme… hehe that rhymes) because I thought I’d help me get inspiration better just to be looking at the colors by themselves instead of the whole rest of the meme and other colors around it. So I got halfway through that before I realized … hey, this is a pretty nice color palette! Of course it’s all changed now since I messed with darkening/lightening it so there’s lighter yellows and more orange involved to give it more contrast, but the palette itself was pretty cool! Definitely wasn’t dark enough though. Left my original noodle looking kinda chalky. But anyways! Here it is. If anyone would like to try out the palette I (partially) used to make this, it’s:
And yeah, it’s kinda repetitive with both ends being close together in color… but if I were to title it, maybe I’d call it… hm… Well, the original title of the palette was Angelic, and it still kinda looks like that to me? I mean, the last three colors are from Angelic, the first two are from the dA color palette. But uh… I dunno. I don’t have a better title XD; And ‘Angelic’ doesn’t exactly fit Nola’s personality, just her blonde hair and how mono-yellow this painting is XD but uh… Yeah I dunno I can’t think of any other better title for it than that. Eh well. Anyways here it is, finally some art after a while right? XD I’m working on something else that was supposed to be a quick color key but it turned into a big thing… I might post it if I ever finish it! It’s currently in stasis on PS XD;
I DID IT!!! I finished my first triathlon!!! <3 And I finished in 2:46:39:01, just under my goal time of three hours! I nearly started crying about halfway through the walk section because I realized I was going to be able to do it. So damn proud of myself and what my body can do!
Also, I cut the underside of one of my toes walking in the water. I figured it would be fine, threw a band-aid on it when I got to my bike and finished the race. Once I got home and showered, I took a better look at it and realized it was worse than I had thought. So I went to the doctor to be sure I didn’t need stitches and to have them to clean it out so I don’t get an infection. Luckily, no stitches were necessary; since I had waited so long, it would actually increase the chance of infection if they closed it up. So I’m limping a bit, but not too bad.
