Yes, accept that you have flaws. Accept that you have sins. Accept that there are bad things about you. But please, I’m begging you please don’t think accepting these means you get to keep them.

You shouldn’t keep them. Work on your flaws. Repent of your sins. Kick those bad traits to the curb. Acceptance doesn’t mean you don’t have to change. Please understand that.

Sam doesn’t eat burgers.

Dean does. Anyone they’ve ever come across knows how much Dean likes to down a double cheeseburger with extra onions but Sam prefers wraps or salads. He likes beer but prefers to drink lite brands and Dean’s the only one who drinks IPA, yet the three letter packaging is staring back at him on the table.

Dean’s opened up the fast food bag and with the wrappers pulled out he can see the order receipts on the food. Three burgers with no lettuce, extra onion, extra bacon, and extra cheese just how Mom and Dean like them.

John Winchester had his flaws but he knew better than anyone that Sam and Dean had different tastes. He’s pretty sure Mary think they’re the same person half the time.

Except that isn’t right either because if they were the same person then wouldn’t Mary text both of them? Want to share jokes and grin and blast her music for both of them to hear? Play Scrabble and share stories about the Impala with both of them?

She doesn’t. Because Sam’s not the same person, he’s an addition to the person Mary already had.

And of course it makes sense why would she want to spend time with him? She doesn’t know him like she knows Dean. He doesn’t know anything about cars so how can he join them when they sit for hours in the garage talking about the Impala? He likes Dean’s music but because it’s an extension of Dean and their childhood, not enough to talk about the band members and the year of the album releases like the two of them do in the car while he sits quietly in the back. He doesn’t like beef jerky or blasted music or even pie that much.

Sam wouldn’t want to hang out with himself either.

But the best part of the entire situation is Dean’s still so untrusting of her, so tentative in allowing her in after she left that it’s suddenly up to him to bridge the gap between them. Of course he does it too because Dean had been peace maker for Sam and John so how can he deny his brother this? How could he not jump at the chance of making what was left of their family whole?

He thinks he might have screwed up somewhere along the way. He must have. Because Dean and Mary are made from the same cloth and they’re happy enough to be together despite Dean’s digs but Sam can’t even find the breath to ask his mother how she’s doing anymore after the Demon Prince.

Since when is life about getting what you want?

He knows that well. Kinda like wanting to meet your dead mother only to have her show up and not give a shit about you.

So he stares at the beer and doesn’t touch the burgers as Mary explains that she’s been teaming up with the British Men of Letters and it’s been awhile since he’s felt this empty. He knew he wasn’t exactly high on her list of priorities but she’s not even looking at him as she says it.

She’s looking at Dean.

“We have a history with them-” He tries to get out but she’s quick to shut him down, the cutting way she say’s his name making his breath catch in his throat.

He’s told it was a hard decision. He gets the feeling it really wasn’t.

He feels five years old again, scrambling for their Dad’s attention while he taught Dean how to shoot a gun, eyes never leaving Dean’s hands despite how many groans of boredom Sam made. So he tells her, reminds her that he was cruelly burned and broken despite how disgusting the words taste on his tongue. He want’s to forget and heal, not have to use the experience to beg his mother to reconsider teaming up with his torturers.

Since when is life about getting what you want?

She’s preaching about family and while that might work with Dean it doesn’t with Sam and he abruptly stands. “My family,” He says evenly, holding eye contact with Mary despite how she keeps flickering to look at Dean. “is made up of one person I can trust.”

It’s clear what he’s saying and Mary flounders, obviously looking for an angle to argue as Sam watches on, the empty feeling taking some satisfaction from how surprised she looks. She didn’t think he’d take a stand and she was wrong.

“Sam,” She says again, leaving the malice out of her tone this time. “I want us to be a family, they can help us make a bigger difference. We can all be working together if you’d just listen for five minutes.” She smiles, eyes soft and face open as she looks at him. It’s a decent poker face but he still see’s the cracks of defensiveness and irritation that she even has to explain herself.

He nods in understanding, knowing she thinks he’s the empathetic one and lets her have a moment to believe that he’s going to be settled by her weak bargaining. “But Mom,” He starts. “Since when is life about getting what you want?”

He leaves her there to think on it as he walks out of the room, dumping the bag of burgers in the trash by the door.

What do you think which personality type is Harry? xx

I’ve seen a lot of people label him as an ESFP (The Entertainer), but I wouldn’t classify him as that, if I were to really look into it.

I’d say he’s either an INFJ (The Advocate) or an INFP (The Mediator). I think he has a very untainted image of the world and its inhabitants. He thinks love is the solution to every problem, and he wants to live in a time where everyone has the same opportunity to live a happy life and to fulfill their dreams. He’s got an ideal world set up in his mind, and it’s probably very far from what the world is actually like. He leads with love more than anything.

These personality types are more creative than other personality types, so he obviously fits within the frame of these types. They’re incredibly insightful and can read situations well, and they try to use their creativity to solve problems. And, above all, they’re passionate. They’re passionate about nearly everything they do, to the point of not being interested in anything if they’re not passionate about it. This is true for Harry, who puts his all in everything he does - including his passion for fashion.

I see him more as an introvert, even though he performs for a living. Which, really, being an introvert doesn’t mean you’re terrified of people. I think that Harry is a true ambivert, but if he were to take the MBTI test, he’d be slightly more introverted than extroverted. (I’m literally right on the cusp - 52% extroverted and 48% introverted; I feel as though Harry would have the same results).

A lot of times, INFJs and INFPs come off as extroverted, when really, they need plenty of alone time to recharge and decompress. They might withdraw really suddenly, realizing that they’ve absorbed the feelings of those around them for too long and they need to have peace and quiet right that instant. I get the feeling he likes his time alone. Or, rather, he likes to spend his time with a few select people who understand he likes to be alone. Probably someone like Anne, who he can sit with and enjoy her company, but they don’t have to be talking all the time. Gemma’s probably the same way.

We’ll only really know if he takes the test and tells us, but that’s my best guess with what I know about him.

Every episode of season two of Legends seems to have at least one (usually more) joke about Mick's intelligence or usefulness. This didn't happen nearly as often in season one. Each character has done it now, even the genuinely good and kind ones you wouldn't expect this from like Jax, Ray, and Nate. It's not like Mick has been incompetent. He was useful with Washington and in the last episode. Do you think this is leading up to something for when Len returns? Or is it all just comic relief?

No, season 1 was really different. Ray had issues with Mick’s morality but wasn’t so likely disparage his (anyone’s) intellect. Martin was always a dick to everyone in his own special way, but didn’t call Mick an idiot really, certainly not so often or bluntly. Sara had no issue with Mick, it seemed. Jax was always chill with him, barring the whole ‘criminal’ thing. The only one who really put him down as ‘thick’ or ‘IQ of meat’ was Rip, in S1. And even then, Rip would agree with him when he had points (like about Druce wanting to kill Rip in that forest) and defer to Mick’s better judgement without making a huge production of it.

S2, like you said, obviously different. Literally everyone has made comments, or multiple. He keeps displaying an amazing amount of competence and keeps getting shit on for it. From finding them all through history (with Nate, of course, but Mick did the piloting), to defeating a bunch of ninjas single-handedly to actually building rapport with the enemy of the week in the old west (they could have used that instead of starting a brawl omg), to saving Washington (and the United States in the process) to coming up with plans to taking charge and owning it in the Capone era to taking out an entire army in Camelot 3000 with just his mind

Mick kicks ass.

He’s literally never been incompetent in any way, shape, or form on the team. I’ve been pointing out since season 1 that he’s probably the most skilled of them all (barring maybe Rip) in terms of what their journey demands (here’s a decent overview with in-line links to other posts all about Mick’s skill and intellect).

So… ugh. I’ve complained about it a lot, how the team seems to be incapable of recognizing and respecting that. I won’t link the posts – they’re plentiful though, in my Mick Rory tag.

But I do think you might have a point. It’s been something I’m pondering.

At first I thought they were creating a split-team rift. I thought they were going to have Ray and Mick get close, him get close to Amaya too, but maybe feel more distant from Sara (and Rip, upon return) and maybe Martin too? So that when Len showed back up, Mick was going to have this tension between the members of the team he wanted to protect vs. those he didn’t feel so close with, so that going with Len was a real, genuine dilemma for him. So I didn’t think the comments would really take off with the whole team.

But then they did and now… well, my honest suspicion? They changed the story starting after 2x04. My best guess is that Mick won’t be around next season (Dominic Purcell is vocal on social media about disliking Vancouver and missing his family) and so they realized that the stories they were building with him couldn’t be carried forward. So they swapped major parts of those stories (closeness and budding romance with Amaya, close friendship/partnership with Ray) over to Nate instead (which I argue doesn’t work as well for character dynamics but w/e). I can’t say this is really the case, obviously, but it feels that way if you look at what they were building and then how it started to change and what abruptly got dropped or added.

As a consequence of that, they decided that Mick’s dilemma isn’t going to be so tough after all. He’s going to be crapped on by the team a lot and eventually start to show that he’s getting fed up with it, instead of taking it so much in stride (look at how he stood up to Sara’s orders in Camelot, basically ready to throw down, or how he bent Ray’s arm for poking him about crumbs, compared to how he didn’t mind Rip complaining about his stealing stuff in France in 2x01). So then the dilemma of going along with Len wouldn’t seem like such a difficult decision. He’s going to go with Len, hands down. He’s under-appreciated by the team and he’s going to peace out.

Wishful thinking version? The team is going to realize they’ve made a grave mistake and end up in a dire situation and Mick’s going to cave enough to help save the day, and then he’s going to be done for good with the Legends and return to Central City with Len. In a perfect world, they’re then going to use some of the knowledge and skills (and allies, like Reverse Flash) they’ve gained in order to really start the Rogues. The Rogues become a major part of Flash season 4. My crops are watered and my skin is clear.

I mean, it’s a little far-fetched but that’s how I would write it, personally.

More realistically, they’re still going to show some serious dilemma for Mick and the team aren’t ever going to be properly reprimanded or remorseful over the shitty way they’ve treated Mick, and the writers are doing it at least a little for the sake of humor, because a lot of those lines have seemed like they’re trying to be comedic (unlike Rip and Mick’s blowout with the pirates), even if they fall totally flat.

But eh. At least for one moment, someone recognized his value.
