Emmi and Lillian’s never-ending list of underappreciated dancers:
Juliet Doherty: Juliet is a 15 year old who dances at Fishback Studio of the Dance which is her great-grandmother’s studio. She started ballet at 3 years old and by the age of 5 she was doing a variety of classes. She competed her first dance at age 7 in a hip hop number. She trains with her mother and has been instilled with great discipline and belief in herself. Juliet has won gold at the biggest ballet competition in the country YAGP and has even had the opportunity to play Clara at Radio City Music Hall. Her favourite dance move is a saut de chat because she says she is a powerhouse when it comes to leaping.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
